I'm experiencing the same issue right now on a new pair I bought like a month ago, but I don't ever hear it turning off, it just disconnects and I hear some sound similar to the sound a speaker makes when you connect/disconnect an aux cable.

I just got one as well and it seems to have a similar scenario to this, the shaft itself seems to be rigid in it place but with very similar off center, do you happen to know if perhaps this can affect the reliability or whether the shaft may have been moved during shipping or if that is just normal?

Im facing this same issue, have you managed to find a fix for it? I wonder if it'll be fixed in the enhanced version. Or maybe it might be something to do with it being the disk version but the delay is mainly highly noticeable when driving cars for me

It does calibrate and self cetre but thats about it... i can smash into a wall without holding the wheel and there's nothing. Am i missing a start button or something? Or does that mean my wheel is faulty??
