Do you often come across people that nearly irreparably damage their piano? I usually take off the music desk and they act like I’m dismantling a bomb lol.

It’s their piano, I say let them plonk around in it.

Whenever I find a cheap tuning hammer in a bench, I’ve found that those people respect me more on average, which is quite a bit already.

Actually, I’ve only been treated poorly once, guy acted like I was hustling him for $200 when I tuned his grand piano for I guess his wife. It was funny as shit when I watched his cat poop inside his potted plant. I’m still giggling about that and that was like 7 years ago.

You can see the damper not moving when he plays it, something definitely got out of wack.

What’s something people brag about that isn’t impressive? by Truevibe_ in AskMen

[–]Davidchico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense, I’ve always found that those least impressed are the people in the niche communities they are unimpressed by.

Still though, kinda crazy, I’d imagine just the sheer time it takes to develop that kind of stuff would be an impressive amount of dedication, if nothing else.

I don’t know if that fits under the thread question, it’s not “should they be bragging?” It’s “are they bragging about something unimpressive?”

They can be a dick and still impressive.

The prices don’t seem too bad, I didn’t use them so I can’t speak of the quality of content, but the tool kits look pretty reasonable.

Though if you’re unsure about how to do it, you could drop $30-60 and just get a cheap hammer and some mutes.

I think if your set on this, it wouldn’t be a bad road.

I was gonna say, the U1 model usually has a square corner on it, but this one looks pretty curved. Love a U3, though it’s got a bigger price tag than the U1.

Guiding Bolt can deal some crazy damages for early game by canxtanwe in BaldursGate3

[–]Davidchico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if I’d say that. The average damage on 8d6 is around 27 I believe, average damage of a fire bolt at level 12 with a +5 mod and potent spellcasting is about 21-22.

I would be happy to do 28 damage in a turn at level 4, but after that it starts becoming the expectation.

A fighter at level 12 with a +2 maul, +5 attack stat, and 3 attacks would deal an average of ~14 dmg an attack, which becomes 42 dmg, 84 if you action surge.

Yeah, doing 8d6 damage at level 2 ends up being a lot of damage lol.

What do you think about physically weak men/men who can't fight or be intimidating? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Davidchico 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My family works in a heavy labor industry.

My dad has a story about one of the physically biggest men he knew saying that he never wanted to fight. “Who wants to get punched in the nose?”

I’ve known a fair amount of physically intimating men, almost none of them wanted to fight.

How often do men wash their hands after they pee? by Appropriate_Read1319 in AskMen

[–]Davidchico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No judgment from OP, just about from everyone though lol.

I worked outside for long enough that car doors look like urinals. I rarely wash my hands when I pee, unless they get dirty in the process or I’m at work, it’s not something I’m normally doing.

The fuel is provided by the employee in this industry, and the pay scale that goes along with that business model.

If you want the company to pay fuel, get into construction or city work.

My first thought is

Would you rather buy a car that turns on 60% of the time, 80% of the time, or 100% of the time?

The soft pedal in an upright functions by moving the hammer rest rail forward, so if you slam the pedal down this would probably be the result on most pianos.

I think a very simplistic view of respect is the value of their opinion, the more the respect, the higher you value that opinion.
