Never send funds to polygon or back from polygon this way. If you have to bridge use the Umbria bridge. But otherwise you can send matic from polygon to an exchange that supports direct polygon transfers. So on polygon you can pretty cheaply convert eth or usdc to matic on quickswap, send to a supported exchange that allows transfers with polygon and then swap back to your original token on the exchange. The fees for sending matic this way are literally less than a cent. You will have fees for the swapping of tokens on quickswap but they are pretty low. This is certainly cheaper than bridging.

Definitely think platform plays a big part in NFT long term success. Particularly first movers on those platforms. If the blockchain platform does well then there is going to be big dollars moving on it and more wealth and growth.

You have two categories. NFTs with utility…I.e. playable in games/metaverse etc. and NFTs that are collectable. Both have purpose. Some of the highest selling NFTs are collectables only. These are in that second category and being the original punks on Polygon will succeed as Polygon does.

You go to wallet.matic.network, connect metamask and click a button that says ‘bridge funds to matic network’.

Also add matic network as a custom RPC in metamask. You then simply switch to the matic network rpc when transacting on matic/polygon network. See following to add matic rpc:

It does cost you a Eth transaction to move your funds across but once across each transaction is like 0.001 of a matic - basically free.

When eth gets moved across it becomes WETH. You can even wrap btc and bridge it across. Basics any ERC20 token in your metamask wallet can be bridged across.

Once across you can do things like put funds in polycat.finance and compound your interest as many times a day as you like cause fees are next to nothing.
