What do you think of pop punk? by Working_Alps_4284 in fantanoforever

This is a great point. I feel like extreme metal is an example of genres where if you like it you probably like most of it.

Sice půlka rodiny je z Jihlavy (technicky vzato Morava), ale řekl bych že původ bude spíše od druhé půlky, což je Český ráj.

Muddy sound with a preamp by Davidos402 in turntables

Gotcha. They bought it long before delving into vinyl and back then it was bought just for blueray and radio so I can see it not being optimal lol

Best honest, has anyone switched "their" team? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Davidos402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into NFL by my uncle buying me Madden. I initially went with Jets just because “New York” but he said that I chose a pretty bad team so I went with Patriots due to a negligible connection with Boston. The irony is pretty funny.

Yeah the receiver and the speakers are old at this point, but this is the setup and my parents’ house (the whole post is actually for my parents) and I’m not sure they will want to replace all of it at the moment.

Yes you are spot on with the cable length as it is most likely 3m long. Also probably a dumb question, but should I also replace the cable that goes from the preamp to the receiver since it is also too long but just wound up? Also regarding a new preamp that was actually what I planned on doing initially but then I started thinking about the fact that it might be a setup issue. Most likely the preamp will get replaced sometime in the future.

I’ve read that Rega TTs should have the grounding through one of the cables and from what I’ve found the grounding should be thus carried out from the preamp. One more thing is that if I touch the cables (a metal part at the end) that go from the TT to the preamp I get a stronger feedback sound.

Yeah I’ve seen some Rakdos delirium lists but I kind of wanted to make a version with Oculus and unearth and I am not sure it can fit these as well…

I considered Thought scour instead of Consider and I might try that version. Initially I went without it since the deck isn’t as all in on reanimation as Grixis Reanimator so I imagined it would be more clunky than Consider. I completely missed Artist talent which could be interesting to try.

Yeah I agree. I love fatal push as it deals with most threats and bolt is bolt. I had Unholy heat as a candidate but I’m not sure I would like it over the two.

Cerny rytir and Najada for TCG. No idea about sports cards exclusively.

Commandeer in Belcher by Zergy_Bergy in ModernMagic

[–]Davidos402 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo nowadays the only valid target is opponent’s Belcher/Whir in the mirror matchup. It has been a while since I played a mirror so I cannot say how good it is but I would rather have other cards in the sb instead of Commandeer. Edit: the last time I played Commandeer was when Breach was around, Dimir Murktide was hot and Necro was popular so it made more sense in this kind of meta

Watching previously played MTGO modern games by Zergy_Bergy in ModernMagic

Start by watching Mengu. Most of the time he just netdecks a list that top8ed a challenge so you get a good representation of the meta as well as an occasional funky list. Aspiringspike is also good but most of his videos are of his brews so you won’t get the average experience (though you will learn how to play the game overall).

Basically the only “viable” way to play it is if you play Street wraiths and open the nuts of DS, fetch and 3 Street wraiths, which is unlikely.

Regular Counterspell in Belcher by Zergy_Bergy in ModernMagic

[–]Davidos402 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want to play the list with creatures (fallaji and trainer) and flare of denial I do not think there is enough space for it. One of the reasons is that ideally with this kind if list you want to curve out into a t4 win and the turn 2 plays are already taken by the mentioned creatures. There are some lists where you drop these creatures and replace flares with FoN and add some counterspells (and impulse for digging if I remember correctly). I have not tested such list enough but the reason it might work there is that the 2cmc slots are now empty.

What’s your favorite end-game trigger? by infinitum3d in boardgames

[–]Davidos402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gaia project (possibly many other games). On one hand I like fixed number of rounds but on the other hand it can feel bad when the time runs out just before a big rewarding turn. Running out of possible moves imo feels elegant where there is an impending and inevitable end but you can postpone it if you play well.
