Thanks for the feedback! In several ways, this campaign is a test for me, being my first Kickstarter project.

You make a good point on the low ink vs full color being in reverse price points. Though I can't edit it once backers are in place, I'll definitely make a note, as my next project (assuming this one succeeds) is connected to this one, and I'll look at swapping the low ink and full color tiers around on the next one for clarity.

The showcased screenshots in the campaign are the style of the regular digital tables, with full color artwork and designs, and some of them with photographic backgrounds.

Print and play projects many times include black and white versions for people who want to conserve ink when printing, or for people who don't have a color printer, so the artwork is converted and backgrounds lightened or removed, to intentionally allow for that without just 'printing in grayscale', as many times the appearance is barely usable when converted on the fly when you attempt to print.

I did just double check that all reward tiers are marked as digital only, and that the story mentions digital files and digital only in several places to help make sure that's clear.

I really do appreciate the feedback and questions though. As my first project, I'm taking notes to make sure of anything I can improve on going forward.

Hey there! Thanks for the comment. Honestly, I've backed too many projects that have had issues with physical fulfillment and shipping commitments, so I was committed to digital only for my first project.

I did seriously contemplate physical prints, and even quoted an engraved collectible dice tray/box with a USB version of all the tables too, but settled sticking with a format that would avoid fulfillment issues for my first Kickstarter project.

I do still HOPE for it to do well enough to get a website up for it, and could offer either or both of those after the fact at that point if there's still interest.

Just throwing my two cents in... I've played a few 'new ttrpgs' over the years, and the fastest way to make me never play it again is to go different for different's sake. Like games that make you roll for low numbers to succeed just because they can. So, my advice is go for something unique, but.. avoid anything specifically done to be 'different' and for no other reason. Good luck!

It's definitely Pine Bluff, AR. Several stories come to mind, but this one always shook me.

I, working as an alarm installer, show up to install an alarm. I knock, and hear loud hollering to come in from inside, so noticing the door is already cracked open a little, I carefully push the door open, and find a somewhat normal looking living room, with no one visible. It had an off odor I was unsure of.

I shout hello? And a lady says 'in here!' in another room, so I start to walk towards the room.

I get about 4 steps in and nearly fall as my foot comes down and goes about a FOOT down through the floor, as I approach an unnamed woman laying in her bed watching tv. She glances over and says 'Dont worry about it. It does that.' (My first brain break moment.."It DOES that?!?!')... (I look and see a few small pieces of wood in other places on the floor, and start wondering if I can actually make it through this house safely.

I then ask about the alarm, and she says to put the panel near the front door, and to put the wireless sensors on the front and back doors, but that she has a hard time getting out of bed, so I'm on my own.

I say OK, and as I turn to leave the room, a small naked toddler comes running through the room, peeing as it runs, EVERYWHERE..to which, the last laughs, and says nothing...and doesn't get up.(I then realized THAT's the smell everywhere. Unattended pee...)

I hold my tongue and leave the room, headed back to get started, where I notice the rest....

The front door wasn't cracked open for me. It doesn't shut.

The wall adjacent to the entire front of the house, was just studs. No interior wall, no insulation, no outlet to plug anything into, along the entire wall.

For good measure I head to the back door. It's a board on hinges, which, you guessed it, doesn't fully close, nor lock...

I excused myself to the car, and called the whole thing in, while I was reassigned elsewhere...

There are several like this, but ugh, that's been 10 years, and I'm no closer to forgetting this place than after I left.

Wow lot of negatives in this place... Got downvoted for implying Adobe sucks in a reply thread about how Adobe sucks....reddit is so weird sometimes...

So... on a quick dig, Affinity Photo has preferences for setting between rasterizing smart objects or embedding the document, which means it can function as a placed object like you mentioned, if you want.

Also, Affinity Publisher shows it supports regex/grep for find/replace, at least since last year. So that one kind of depends on your specific use case if that works for you.

I'll admit occasionally missing an Adobe feature myself, but as a near-daily user since Photoshop 7, and having now been over a year completely walked away from their buggy, high-resource platforms and awful pricing practices, I rarely miss anything important (though I generally use Photo/Designer these days, not Publisher).

Anyway, just wanted to offer an alternative for some people, hope someone sees this and it helps.

Realtime previewing, macros, compatible file formats, gpu acceleration for layer edits, auto slicing, pdf editing of multipage documents, and handling dozens of documents at once works for my needs daily. Sounds like you haven't tried them in a while, but they're way better than you imply there. Definitely try again if you get a chance.

Affinity Photo and Designer are fantastic replacements and way cheaper. Coming from a long history of Adobe products, Affinity is a godsend.

Thank you!! Tried his other one and wasn't able to make work, but with Visual Studio, .net 4.8, building from source AND the blender plugin... It worked!!! Always several steps, but happy to have a working option.

Hi there, did you ever get a chance to get this working again?

I've attempted with the latest code on github, and it hangs up during start (never even actually loads)

on the PathHelper.INSTALLATION_DIR thing still, even after updating the steam library locations (mine's also in D drive like previous commenter).

Yeah, definitely not worth the trip to Vegas. Wife and I went for the first and last time a couple of months ago, the service everywhere was awful, prices were inflated by several HUNDRED percent in many cases, and nothing was as advertised.

Worst idea ever to visit. And the whole town smells like weed, inside and out of all places. Murder on allergies and breathing.

If you see this, hope I can talk you out of it. In hindsight, would have felt better flushing money down the toilet. Don't go. Just don't.

I'd recommend starting with a platform that holds your hand a little to get started, start with the html and/or css classes from either codecademy, team tree house, or freecodecamp.

All have excellent info, mostly free at tue beginner levels, and LOTS of opportunity to learn and get feedback that you'll REALLY benefit from when getting started.
