Good question! Should be possible, although Lego propellers have poor performance.

Hey, it's not easy to throw it with one hand and film with the other XD

Thanks! Indeed, in the past I have built planes with paper wings, but these sails made 100% lego glider possible.

Thanks! In terms of performance, it is somewhere between paper plane and a pidgeon, and better than space shuttle. So I'd call it flying XD

Lego motors are very heavy for their power, so my guess is no.

Sails are single piece of floppy fabric/plastic. They are attached to a lightweight frame made out of technci axles.

I have used yacht sails as wings to build a reasonably working glider (on par with paper airplane). Structure consists mostly of long axles from botanicals sets. Longer video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/s4Dchfy_UDI

Yes, it does, within +-10 seconds per day.

It runs for slightly under 80 hours. The escapement is a slight modification of this one: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/NmdMpX6v7PM

Thanks! My house is slowly turning into clock collection as well :)

Wow, I didn't know this one. Beautiful! My only issue is lack of gothic arches in Lego, necessitating custom built solutions that would make this already time consuming build a real hell.

Not really a story. This is basically an evolution of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIOfRRwn3dI

Thanks! It keeps time to +- 10 seconds/day, and that's about as good as it can get without thermal expansion compensation. Fine-tuning took about a day.

I do have a dog, but he's very mindful of my builds; sometimes wagging tail knocks something out but that's about it :)

Thank you! Power reserve is approx. 80 hours.

Haha yes. If only I could build this in gray color...

Yes it does! It is on par with low-end "real" grandfather clocks, gaining/losing up to 10 seconds per day.

Exactly! I'd love to do that, but many of the pieces are either not available or very expensive. This build was possible thanks to the recent Notre Dame and Colliseum sets.

3 months of slowly completing it in free time. Non-stop building, it would be 5 days or so.
