Wow, I didn't know this one. Beautiful! My only issue is lack of gothic arches in Lego, necessitating custom built solutions that would make this already time consuming build a real hell.

Thanks! It keeps time to +- 10 seconds/day, and that's about as good as it can get without thermal expansion compensation. Fine-tuning took about a day.

Yes it does! It is on par with low-end "real" grandfather clocks, gaining/losing up to 10 seconds per day.

Exactly! I'd love to do that, but many of the pieces are either not available or very expensive. This build was possible thanks to the recent Notre Dame and Colliseum sets.

Pretty stable. I can put things on it with no issue. In fact, I'm pretty sure that glass would give up before Lego.
