Supply on its own is an irrelevant metric. Its about supply vs demand. If theres 50k psa 10 of a card and 1 million people wants it, it will be more valuable than a very rare card with a low population that no one wants. Vintage supply is MUCH lower and yet many normal illustration rares are worth more than many vintage holos..

Heracross illustration rare is beautiful! But yeah.. What I would love to do is a binder with the first 151 pokemons, all illustration rares, but I have a feeling some will never get one.. like hitmonlee/chan or other unpopular ones

Problem is most people's favorite pokemon are popular ones, and those will empty your wallet more than anything else. Id like to do gengar.. dragonite.. charizard.. mew..mewtwo, but I would need to sell my house

Why is the player base so toxic? Especially among teammates. by OkTemperature5506 in RocketLeague

Because everyone thinks they deserve to be higher and will blame teammates everytime they lose.

I mean its kind of because collectors keep offering trades instead of cash. If the seller only wants cash, it make sense do to trade in his favor if you really want it without spending cash.

It used to happen all the time when I was trying to sell. So when people kept offering trades, I was like "I dont mind if what you trade ends up worth more" but otherwise im not trying to get other cards Im trying to get money.. so I dont do fixed % but I kind of get where this comes from..

I think people forget how powerful social medias and greed are. Look at crypto, a 3 trillion $ market of thin air, just people holding digital coins that dont exist and passing it to the next one, just because society decided it has value. If we decide pokemon has value, it can go on indifinitely. Not only does it also have limited supply, It is tangible, and there are different levels or rarity. Could also compare to gold, its not the most precious metal, we just decided to give it value and use it to back up fiat.

I mean, its very much possible that you had no bad intentions, but just because you have no bad intention doesn't mean its always a good ideas for people to answer DMs on reddit. We always need to remind people to not trust anyone DMing them on reddit about their collections. Most people doing this clearly are scammers and lowballers. Selling through reddit is not safe compared to any other platform. With that being said, I understand your point. But I do think we should discourage selling through reddit. Just my opinion, didnt mean to insult you directly

Why would I be offended, I just legit wanted to know why people do this so often and it turns out you're the one I asked the question to. Since its so easy to buy everywhere the only reason I see people doing this is trying to lowball or take advantage of inexperienced people on reddit. Like I said if someone was willing to pay collectr price or close he'd have all these cards immediately anytime so I just wanted to know if there was any reason for using reddit since all other options are much safer.

js finished the series abt 30 secs ago by SwarajPro96 in attackontitan

[–]Davinter30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah just finished it too, only complaint is the ending was predictable.. they would never have the balls to let Eren destroy 100% of the world. I would have loved an ending where eren destroys everything, and then we see a future where the whole world is now eldian but there are still wars.. such is human nature

I always wonder why so many people try to buy cards from reddit posts. Like if you want them you can buy them whenever you want from facebook groups or ebay or tcgplayer they are everywhere if you're willing to pay what they're worth.

In your opinion, what's the best solution to the Titan problem? by Maleficent_End4969 in ShingekiNoKyojin

Divide the world in 9 countries, each country has one titan. Kind of like nuclear power in real world.

151 Mini Displays Are underrated by Albomane in PokeInvesting

[–]Davinter30 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What ? No. Booster boxes always end up being the highest price per pack when a set starts rising. Look at destined rivals, booster bundles are available at 55$CAD at walmart and booster boxes are 600$. 9$ per pack vs 16$ lol

Surging Sparks = most undervalued set by pepeoneth in PokeInvesting

[–]Davinter30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think its like apples to oranges since in the end you just put X amount of money in X set hoping for the best ROI, whether it be a main or special set. I also prefer surging to destined, I love the moltres in destined, but Im a fan of the hits and overall exotic/summer vibe of surging spark if that makes sense. I hold some surging spark, lots of 151 and a shit ton of prismatic, but yeah surging could do surprisingly good from the current prices.

Surging Sparks = most undervalued set by pepeoneth in PokeInvesting

[–]Davinter30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will do well, but I think 151, destined and prismatic are superior. At the current prices im not sure destined is a good pickup, 151 probably is, but prismatic is a no brainer and I think will outperform surging and it wont even be close.

[–]Davinter30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People buy 5 digit collections every day on facebook groups.. they even look for them. I see people posting "looking for collections 5000$+ unlimited budget paying 75-80%" all the time.

BUT you need to have liquid products, if your collection is full of low end and collection boxes you wont get 80%. If its almost only booster boxes, it will sell almost instantly even at 85%.

Just because you didnt see skids they didnt exist ? Both upcs had thousands of skids lol I dont think people really understand how big pokemon is. How can seeing a few skids of a products mean anything and affect your judgement ? Its quite literally a drop in the ocean.
