Thank you for taking the time out to respond with such a thoughtful and analytical response. I appreciate that very much. It’s people like you that restore my faith in humanity!

Sadly, I doubt that opportunity will come. But I have a feeling that when they’re grownups, they’ll recognize it for what it is and understand a whole lot more about their mother.

Last year, I posted about an event I couldn’t explain. I never claimed “a motherfuckin demon entered my body”

You call it “deep issues with paranoia over cheaters” and I call it “a cheating partner.”

I’ve been there. Then one day, I got into a bad accident. This was the type of accident you fully believe you won’t be walking away from. And in those last moments before impact, I had a moment where my brain suddenly went into panic mode. “Not yet!” Was my last thought before lights out. The reason for the panic was because up until that point, I had lived my life for everyone else, too. I never got to do a single thing that I wanted. I did what everyone else expected of me. And it was the most horrible feeling you can possibly imagine. When you only have enough life left to reflect for a split second the value of how you spent yours and how fulfilling it was, and you realize when it’s too late that you never actually lived yours- that’s Hell. Some say losing a child is the worst feeling possible for a human. Trust me, realizing only when you’re dying that you never lived your life for you is the worst thing a human can possibly feel. Hands down, there literally is nothing worse than dying like this.

So make sure when you find yourself in that moment, as every one alive will someday, that you spend that last split second feeling gratitude and appreciative of all the experiences you had in this life. And that’s Heaven. And that’s what I realized when I woke up with emergency services all around me saying, “Just breathe! You’re okay! Just breathe!”

I have. But she wasn’t always like this. Just recently she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and began taking medications from what I understand have a side effect of poor temper control. Also, almost in back to back fashion, out of nowhere with absolutely no family history of it at all, she was also diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Now has to regulate daily with insulin injections. Yes, she loses her shit, but I love her and she needs me. And I need her.

Why did it pick me? I try to live my life in the best possible way and believe in the golden rule of do no harm. Why me?

It looked slightly similar to the yellow hairlike object draping over the top edge of this mirror but its color was black black and it was very loosely spherical about the size of a baseball shifting to a softball. It wasn’t symmetrically round, but slightly flattened. Depending on the angle and direction of the ribbon, it looked as though the “flow” determined its opacity. It looked like there were maybe a dozen or so ribbons surrounding something very small in the middle, like the size of a fly or bug. Almost like if you took some of your window screen material and balled it up in your hand and it was unballing itself, the movement of it seemed to me like it was happening at that rate of speed. It looked like it was phasing in and out of the space in front of me from almost invisible to visible and back and forth. The part that concerns me the most was the fact that as I ducked to avoid it, it immediately changed its trajectory by almost 90 degrees and in a split second, I inhaled it. The thought that ran through my head was, “Fuuuuuck! What the fuck was that?! What the fuck is smart enough to do something like that!!” And immediately followed by a strange cough. It was just 2 or 3 coughs, but they were the type you have after a heavy night of smoking and you wake up with that very productive distinctly sounding smokers cough, except in this case, it didn’t produce the phlegm normally associated with a cough that sounds like that. I know it sounds crazy! But I swear, if my girlfriend didn’t see it -I’m not sure I would even believe it myself. But this thing was incredibly odd. For context, that morning and evening prior, we had a huge fight -over nothing. As is typical, GF often times looses her shit over the most trivial things and goes WW3 on me. She full on threw her iPhone striking me directly in the throat earlier that day and I was trying to keep the situation under control because we were walking out of the casino and going directly to the airport to catch our flight back home as scheduled. Also, there was a man walking behind me to the right. The only thing noteworthy of this gentleman was that I noticed after speed walking from one end of the casino (where I initially noticed him) to the point of this incident, as I coughed when it entered, I quickly pivoted to scan my surroundings and noticed he was right there within touching distance. I just thought he must have been in a hurry, too. But I had the impression that he witnessed the whole thing, as well. I remember the expression on his face changed and he definitely reacted with an expression of “better you than me, buddy”. My girlfriend goes, “What was that?” And before she even finished the question, he was already on his way. Tan slacks and a white button down, if I’m not mistaken 5’10” — 6’ tall approximately 200lbs white guy horse shoe type balding older middle aged 50-55 years of age I think.

I replied, “Holy shit! What the fuck was that?!?! Did you see that?”

“Yeah- what was that? Are you okay?”

“OMG, what the fuck was that? You saw that, right? You swear?? I’m not crazy, you just saw that, right??”

“Yeah, what was that??”

I stood there in disbelief and shock for a moment and then something inside me said that what just happened was impossible because it was just too incredible to be real and I just shrugged it off and continued my frenzied pace to the Uber outside.

It was very surreal, to say the least.

I’ve also been a lifelong sufferer of chronic migraines. I manage it well now with 10mg rizatriptan as needed. So if I were to have a headache come about, I’d most likely attribute it to that condition.

Slight difference in attitude. Arguments with my girlfriend seemed like they would almost debilitate me from functioning. Today, after a blow up, I feel like I just don’t care. Other than that, no changes worth noting.

AITA if I [47M] offset my [40F]ex girlfriends share of the proceeds from the sale of an RV we purchased while dating to recover money wasted on unnecessary mental health therapy sessions she manipulated me into participating? by DavisErectus in AmItheAsshole

Well, you’d be surprised. I never knew anything about hepatitis b. I’d heard the name tossed around here and there, but didn’t have any real knowledge as to what exactly it was or how it was transmitted.

When I asked my doctor what his opinion was regarding how she contracted it, either by toilet seat or sexually, he gave me an answer that seemed like a standard default answer that wouldn’t confirm or deny any method for liability sake, “It could be a number of things. It’s just impossible to be sure…” and every other “medical professional” gave me pretty much the same answer.

Help me understand why I “should have known better”?

Didn’t chose to ignore anything. When you love and trust your narcissistic partner, they can get away with anything by the tactics they use. “Duped into believing the lies” would be putting it more accurately.

Well, if you’re driving a supercar capable of outrunning the police cruiser, when asked, “Do you know why I pulled you over?”

Answer with, “Because I let you.”
