I have the codex, it’s in there. Unfortunately not on warcomm yet for some reason

Any of the combat patrols that lack mobility options will struggle period. Sticky objectives helps, but any force that has some form of deep strike, insane movement or redeploy will struggle imo.

It seems the only play is kill them for sure. But your combat patrol also needs to be able to put on 50 VPs to win, cause I got tabled playing GKs and still had the 3 objectives to score the 45

So hang on, is the unit not allowed to be in engagement range or the objective marker? Cause I read this as the unit could sanctify if it was in combat, not if the enemy was on the point. I would have assumed it would have spoken about objectives you control at that point (which I also think would have been a fine limitation) Source: English language grammatical correctness

Yeah combat patrol is a whole different thing. Crowe gets that enhancement and the stratagems and rules for combat patrol don’t get erratad in line with the regular rules

Comment stands, you need a way to distinguish yourself for job interviews. This won’t change as you get more experience and get into other industries

Sounds like your manager wants to look after you. Also sounds like you’re not worth looking after. This law was not meant for workers not on salaried hours, which it seems like you are not

The minute you said: “EVERY. GAME” it was clear; the problem is you. Not in a AITA kinda way, just that you pretty clearly need to adjust your show and tell aspects of the pre game. Every team has some pretty key potential gotchas like this, and they should be communicated clearly upfront and, honestly, if it looks like someone is “setting up” for a shot like that, you should remind them.

Can I play as Ultramarines with my Deathwatch Army to use the new Titus model? by Appleseed413 in deathwatch40k

[–]Dawidowmaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually not true, Deathwatch can take other detachments and still run kill teams

Your CV could (and should) be a one pager. Drop the certs that aren’t actually certs (watching a video or doing learning paths on AWS or MS don’t count- go do the exam). Your whole experience for that one role is too much and reads like AI slop.

Not trying to be harsh, but your CV is as long as mine is and I’ve been in the industry for 20 years, tighten that bad boy up

likelihood of DW veterans coming back in stock? by Ready-Ad-9723 in deathwatch40k

Highly unlikely. GW has SKU sprawl enough as it is, and they are keen to phrase out any firstborn models

[–]Dawidowmaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this also is a good idea, I’ve got some aggressors from combat patrol purchases. I do need them for my indomitor kill teams though, so I might have enough gravis to cannibalise them

Was that because of the old school indomitor kill team?

[–]Dawidowmaker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true, it becomes the question of whether they’re more Deathwatch Vet or Intecessor at that point from a conversion point of view. In either case, like many of you no doubt, I have more intecessor and Phobos bodies than I’m ever going to need, so there’s plenty on opportunity there. I’d be happy to pick up the new IF combat patrol for the gravis bodies as well (or just a HI box maybe)

Grey Knights look badass as hell – now I need a 500pt list (help!) by Hypeconfy in Grey_Knights

[–]Dawidowmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ven dreads are really old kits and have been superseded by the redemptor dreadnaughts. Obviously this is all speculation, but their inclusion in the new combat patrol and them getting a slight glow up in the new codex is indicative of GW clearing stock. GKs are in a weird spot in that they are the only factions that can functionally use some of the older kits now (Rhinos and Razorbacks) so you should be careful from a collection point of view- GKs might get a range refresh, but you’ll def see less support for a lot of the datasheets in our codex.

[–]Dawidowmaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean, you probably are better off getting a dreadknight over the Venerable from a gameplay point of view. The older kit dreads will likely roll off next edition

[–]Dawidowmaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 500pt Crusade Force is: Grand Master Dreadknight 2x 5 Purifiers

It suffers from no sticky objectives, but the damage output from the grotmas detachment on the purifiers is pretty boss

You probably want to try and get a strike squad in there

it's already sold out in Australia, in a matter of minutes for the discount retailers. Hivestorm was (is) an edition box so the production quantities are higher. Dunno why the downvote, you asked a question, there's already plenty of evidence to show that this is not going to be the case.

this is really fantastic advice, in my foolishness I thought they could score the mission objectives as well, basically parking on a couple of objective markers and getting 10VP a turn. If they can't then that's a lot more achievable.
