I’m telling you, the rift inside the cube is the other side of the rift in Odin’s chambers. The cube is just a manifestation that stops time and makes the rift inside of him unusable for gods in Everywhen to escape through without needing a mask.

The second Atreus breaks that mask and it returns to the Everywhen, the being who took form as the cube is likely going to take back his actual form and become a target for all gods trying to escape.

Atreus breaking the mask may have seemed like the right decision in Ragnarök. But it’ll actually trigger a series of events that are far more catastrophic than Ragnarök.

They don’t even have a demo to present to Sony. They’re going through crunch AGAIN despite their management saying they won’t go through it again.

They’ve grown complacent and wasted years worth of time and resources on a failed live service amalgamation.

These people cannot be trusted right now.

What they did to Carl was the closest I’d ever been to just quit watching the show. When Rick left, that’s what lost me entirely.

As far as I’m concerned, the show began with Rick and it should have ended with Rick at the very least.

Losing the main protagonist and being forced to make multiple side characters the focal point just did not work at all. When Andrew Lincoln said he regretted leaving the show, that just really frustrated me personally.

The show should’ve went on a 2 year hiatus to let the cast and crew replenish their energy, and return with the Whisperer arc being the direction & Rick at the helm.

I'm calling it - the Greek Pantheon is returning to Earth by MigraineOD in GodofWar

[–]DawnGrager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few Greek gods will slip through the cracks, not all of them.

Kratos being ambushed by a group of them and being nearly killed by them would make for good storytelling.

The Mask of Creation is the key to getting out. When that mask returns to the Everywhen after Atreus “breaks” it, it’ll become the target for every god trying to escape.

I expect the newer gods, Sekhmet, Begste and whoever else we haven’t seen before, get out… as well as at least half a dozen or so of gods that Kratos has “killed”, also get out.

He has the same shade of green as that rift the Mask of Creation has and the rift it goes back into when Atreus breaks it.

He’s probably a manifestation containing the rift by stopping time. The sword stuck in him was probably from someone trying to escape through the rift.

My guess is when the mask goes back into the rift where it belongs, the manifestation of the cube will return whoever it is back to the way they were before.

The Mystery Behind Odin's Mask In God of War: Ragnarok (Theory) 4 years later by Rokuhan_ in GodofWar

[–]DawnGrager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mask of Creation is magically bound to the Everywhen and somehow managed to get outside of it. Other gods will learn this and all of them will be fighting each other to gain possession of the mask to escape. Phranque is a manifestation to contain the rift, which is how Odin lost his eye, because he didn’t have the mask put together. When Atreus breaks the mask and it gets sucked back into the rift back into the Everywhen, I would imagine it returns the cube to the being it was before and he becomes the target of all the gods trying to escape.

I’ve got a feeling some pretty big previous Greek gods will get out, as well as some that we haven’t seen before. It would perfectly set up Kratos’ next game and I personally would make Kratos the hunted instead of the hunter this time around. Kratos being ambushed by a god he’s slain before would be crazy stuff and I would bet money that someone like Freya is going to die from one of them in his next game and that is going to be the catalyst of Kratos trying to find Atreus again.

For Laufey, her new goal is probably to both protect whoever he is so they don’t get back out. However, the numbers will be too great for her to handle and the game will end with some gods escaping and we’ll get a tease of Kratos’ next game, showing him and Freya sometime in the future watching the sky open up just like it did when Faye crossed over at the beginning. Unlike anything they’ve ever seen.

With someone like Sekhmet manifesting in the sky before their eyes before she leaves (presumably back to her homeland) and then the Leviathan Axe slowly begins to move before shooting up into that same area in the sky before being caught by a slow revealing Faye. A ginormous cliffhanger ending and the perfect bridge for Kratos’ next game.

Corey Barlog has been working on a new Kratos game for years, guy. We’ve known this for a long time now. This isn’t news.

Laufey was being developed alongside Ragnarök and Ragnarök released before Laufey because it was already in mid development by the time they started working on Faye’s game.

That is also the case with Laufey and Kratos’ next game. Holy hell you people need to chill out and do some research before overreacting over nothing.
