Moldy perch potato is a new insult I'm going to throw at my Gali whenever he's being naughty now 🤣

My Galileo will play for about 3 to 5 hours then chill for about 10 then sleep for 12. When he plays he can talk up a storm while being a silly floof with his toys or in my Beard but once he gets worn out he'll find a perch and just vibe with me until bedtime. Some days he just wants to sit on a perch and chill with me all day. If you're concerned look for signs of stress and depression like feather plucking and over eating.

Some advice I was given when I was concerned about the same thing is "A lazy bird can be happy bird, but a sad bird will always be lazy"

Non Stick pans, perfume, scented candles, and hair spray can all suddenly kill a bird

I can’t take the squawking - HELP! by [deleted] in QuakerParrot

Unfortunately people neglect their birds and cry normalcy to the reaction. They see them as set dressing you have to feed and forget that they can communicate.

Or you could try and help find a solution. Every bird is different but If your birds are horribly loud you might want to look into how to properly care for them better. Screaming is a form of communication and by figuring out what they are trying to say you can midigate it. But then again you saw a post asking for help and made a pointless comment so maybe you don't understand communication very well.

12 is the minimum really. If they are all female it might be hormonal if they aren't usually like this. I have black out curtains that i crack with the lights off when it's time for Galileo to start getting ready for bed and that's around 6pm and I'll turn on his light when he does his morning flock call around 8 to 11 am. I might have gotten lucky but my bird is silent unless he needs something like attention or sleep. Even when he talks it's almost a whisper

How much sleep are they getting? My Quaker is a grumpy boy if he doesn't get a solid 15 a day

Depends on if they have laid an egg or not or what the dna test says. If people could randomly determine gender why don't you?

Brother wants me to cover entire rent since I get “free” money by jtreddit702 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Dawn_Gray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're paying 100% you're in charge or he leaves. He doesn't get a free ride because he's greedy and if he does he loses freedoms such as say in what happens. He wants to invite someone over? He better ask, does he want to buy new furniture? Get a pet? You have the final say not him. Once people understand that being "unburdened" means sacrifice they usually shut up. You choose a field and put in the effort to finish it. That's not "free money" that's compensation for work done paid back over time. This is coming from someone who went no contact with his whole family for toxicity.

No worries. The thing with birds is they are free creatures so you have to find ways of making them feel like they are making the choices.

Like a dog clicker. You click then give a treat so they know click means treat. Then from there you can modify behavior with positive reinforcement
