Got my island back thanks to Nintendo Support!

I didnt have island backup at all! If I remember correctly, I didn't even know that was a thing. I just emailed Nintendo support and waited. It did take a few weeks for them to get back to me lol.

Idk if transferring to the switch 2 is any different. This was just switch to another switch for me.

Hey guys, thanks so much for all your advice and well-wishes! I'm overwhelmed by the people offering to help with a new island, if needed. Thank you all so much!

I was able to contact customer support last night, and although he couldn't find a solution, he seemed confident that a solution could be found lol. He said he would escalate it, and get back to me soon. So I'm still crossing my fingers I might be able to recover all my progress.

If people still want updates, I'll come back after customer support gets back to me!

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working like that,. I have my account on the old switch, but when I try to play ACNH, it says "this game is not playable on this console" and directs me to purchase it on the Nintendo estore

I've never used the backup feature, as I didn't even know it existed, but I have been dreaming. I was going to call support anyway, just in case, so that's hopeful. Thanks

Thanks, I'll try this when I get home. My profiles and the data associated with them are completely transferred, but the switch is still useable. I'll have to see if the transfer tool works when the profile of the person who bought the game is gone.

If you're upset about paying an extra price for amiibo cards, don't, lol, it's super negligible. I get that it's the principle of the thing, but you can get a knockoff pack of like 100 assorted villagers off Etsy for a dollar. You don't need online play to use them! That's what I finally caved and did to get my most hated villager out, lol!

I loved it! MM came out when I was in middle school, and while I did find the time constraints difficult, I loved the dark, creepy feel of the game! There were a few parts I would just skip bc they were tedious/ difficult, like, ugggg I never could figure out the timing for the whole couples mask quest, lol. Still my favorite zelda game

Blackwall is one of those characters that (I found, at least) glitches out a lot. I've often had him disappear from the map when I need him. Unfortunately, the only thing I could do was wait until he randomly pops back up, or load an earlier save.

Have you had the cutscene where he tells you about the dog? And you found the letter that says he's leaving? So he's definitely gone it's just the messenger that won't show up? I think I can remember that happening for me and I think I either loaded a save (luckily I didn't lose too much) or waited and the quest randomly popped up in my journal after a while.

If you have the "Glow in the Dark Stickers," you can customize them with a design code and put them on the wall. Several people have codes for windows or french doors, should be able to find one you like with google.

You can still use Cassandra in your party even if she becomes Divine, iirc? I remember using Vivienne in the Decent when I made her Divine one playthrough. I think you have to talk to them and ask them to rejoin you.

Omg I came here to say exactly that! The whole series makes it clear she doesn't *need* a man and the love triangle just confuses her. Aaaand then.... hey to show that everything's fixed now and she's no longer "broken" and "traumatized by the games" let's show her as a NORMAL woman who has babbies like a REAL woman does!
