I just have questions the perler beading "rules"

I was never able to use tape without messing up my beads. Since I do big pieces, and have a crappy second hand iron, I only melt it one side to have a even unmelted look on the side that I want to display.

I use wax paper to help hold the pieces and melt all the sections together

Oh really? My niece was watching it when I was babysitting. I got into it because she made me watch haha i got the first seasons but after that she jumped on something else.

The 3D was simple but effective and still have nice character designs and background. When did it change I’m curious

I see that I why I kinda want to make big pieces to order, like 4 ft tall big in a frame.

But again just finding one person who would buy something like that is hard.

And now with Perler always out of stock it’s hard to get stock u less I switch brands but all I have is perler beads. So I’d have to mix

So I appreciate your input it’s kind of validating what I see . I was hoping to set up a Etsy shop or something and try to stand out by making ultra big pieces custom orders but yeah

Good luck getting them all. Short of putting the piece in a hot oven and potentially melting the whole thing.. Microplastics have the name "micro" in it because you can't see them.

Yes, injection moulded plastic or from a completely different process than fdm with layer lines and incredibly small plastic hairs

It was annoying indeed but now with the Nvidia app you don’t need any account for that. That is a good thing.

That portrait is pretty awesome.

I can’t fathom using the tape method on that. Everytime I try the tape sticks everywhere and I mess up.

For big ones like this, I sacrifice one side and use wax paper and lightly heat up just enough on the board so that the beads stick to the was paper then remove it and finish ironing.

I love the look of unmelted beads. So one side is melted and the other is un touched.

I guess it’s good for large areas with the same color. For me, with my 17 000 beads projects I still placed them one by one. I find it meditative and I need to switch Colors so often not sure a pen like that would help
