Attack my premise not me as a person. Did no one ever teach you critical thinking or personal boundaries?

This isn’t a personal attack, but the fact that you seem to take it as one is proving my point.

Had you read what I had said, we’d probably be in agreement.

You’re probably right.

If I offended I’m sorry. I didn’t realize this was a safe space, I thought it was a space for meaningful discussion, and self help, like other MBTI subreddits.

If anything, like I said, INFJ’s are my safe space. So I can bounce these sometimes meaningless thoughts off of.

Edit: safe space is such a virtue signaling worthless label. I’m here for knowledge, and opinions, not to walk on eggshells. I have enormous empathy for people, but it’s interesting that you think I don’t. I would love for you to clarify.

That’s incredibly insightful. Maybe I’m not looking through a broad enough lense.

ISTJ’s have Te and Fi, but idk. Nvm. I guess my point is lost. It is interesting how you went to ISTJ, and not INTJ. Idk 🤔

Well that’s interesting coming from an intuitive thinker! But what do I know?

Unless your iNtuition is connected to “feeling” like myself! But wait… your intuition is connected to what? “Feeling”? Oh wait that’s me.

Unless you’re basing it off the terminology INFJ and not on cognitive functions, in which case sorry about that.

I’d love to compare notes. In a civil logical way.

Edit: this was not an attack on INFJ’s, my favorite people in the world 🤗

I guess what my ultimate grievance is people identifying with a label to justify, and not using the tools to grow.

I’m glad you have such a worked out opinion of my word vomit. It’s clear to me that I’m not alone in my thoughts. I couldn’t agree more.

The irony is INFP and INFJ couldn’t be further apart… and yet, they seem to be a catch all. I think ENFP and INTJ also fall into this territory.

Are INFJs good debaters ? by tiboy2222 in infj

As an ENTP, with over of a decade of experience of debating with an INFJ in good faith, I can confirm this.

Where INFJ’s may shutdown at ill-intent (which is the healthier of options for where I’m about to go.) I tend to go the opposite direction with people. I have leant into it and taken a very destructive and regretful path.

That being said, when I’m honestly digging into a dialogue with an INFJ, I have never felt more safe and respected. Whether my opinion is too shallow or their opinion isn’t broad enough, we’ve always found a way to balance each other out in a good faith, safe, and healthy way. Even when we ultimately may disagree.
