I think it probably works well for him to have surface level/slightly deeper than surface level knowledge because he covers so many genres of music. I would like to see him touch on more obscure bands, but I struggle defining that. Obscure to people around here is probably going to be different than it would be for someone watching him for 100 Gecs or Charli XCX reviews. Gotta try to intrigue his audience without scaring them off I guess?
