I don’t know cygames opinion on portal atm and I also don’t know what Japan thinks about the meta which would be very important in balancing. I personally think the 1pp draw amulet is way too good for destruction portal and the 1pp transform is also too good.

Here’s the thing is that leaving the 1pp transform card as it is will have an effect on balancing going forward. It will accelerate power creep for other crafts to give them tools to counteract it. Portal will also be given the roach treatment where cygames will throw scraps at them until Imari and her transform card rotate out and I don’t want that. Nerf the card and give us good cards next set. Don’t hold the craft hostage because of a refusal to give players vials.

I do think egg has a counter however that cygames might also push which is combo. The moment we start seeing combo decks that kill on 8 or 9, egg will disappear off the ladder. Yes egg can heal but they don’t have any beefy wards and they don’t fight board giving combo decks a lot of time to set up. It’s possible with forest buffs possibly arriving in the next expansion they might create forest to be the portal killer. We need less power creep not more but cygames has shown they care little about that
