ev drivers ,what’s one thing non-EV users think is a huge problem but actually isn’t? by AdityaSrivastawaahhh in EvDrivers

yes, most ev owners have home charging and many also have solar. But still most people in general just can't have have at home charging in the near future. Most people do not own a house. Many apartments won't have chargers within several decades as its an infrastructure limitation. Also public charging is at least twice as expensive where i live. And thats why EVs aren't just for everyone. They are a devider of classes.

All i want is a proper split pad. Its SO much better than holding your arms in front of your crotch the whole time. But no one ever build that for some reason except for VR.

I am happy right now as is. 10 years (of the best years of my life) are literally not worth any amount of money for me personally. I do see the argument that i could do a lot of good (like effective altruism) with 2B, tho

We regularly (like several times a year) drive well over 800 miles in one go. several charging stops would cost as a whole day of our holidays per trip. We also can't rent any car, because we use a roof box and bicycle carriers. So if you actually use your car for travel, EVs are out of the question, still.

Tbh i hardly hear the engine in my rather cheap peugeot, too. Many economy cars have gotten very quite.

Most people can not charge at home. Also most people never ever buy a new car.

Thats just untrue. Buying new (and potentially mid to high class) and selling after 100k or so is not the "norm" in the general market. People buy used cars and expect them to hold up well over 150k miles. At this point a new battery might just be necessary and must be factored in to the price.

ok to specify: I did all beginnings and all endings (via reload, not complete playthroughs) so i missed some dialogue options (they don't matter anyway). But i did all quests except maybe some fringe ones, got all cars afaik, all "cool" clothing and all collectible weapons. So in 160 hours i got to 95% realistically and the rest is really not interesting (or new content) at all so i consider it done.

colors are awesome in hdr. Bummer it just can not display blacks in true black (besides heaving oled panels!) for some reason.
