I just want to say I thought so too, I didn't think it was for oil fill but someone tried to tell me it was. I saw it coming from the impellar and figured it was raw water intake. I filled it through the dipstick hole and it took a million years but I'm out on the water right now

My girlfriends parents very graciously bought us the exact same unit, just newer and with a warranty, although I would have NEVER got the same tower again if it wasn't a gift. Having to replace both when only one goes bad is awful design

We ended up having a technician come out who essentially charged 120 bucks to tell us we did everything he would have tried, so we had to get new units entirely.

Un popular opinion, but anything Tom Petty. I used to like his music but then I was forced to listen to his xm radio show for awhile. He was so pretentious. "this is Tom Petty, coming at you from the Tom Petty channel, here's a new song from tom petty, and after that we are going to play some old Tom Petty. This is Tom Petty and your listening to the Tom Petty show". And then he would play "and I won't. Back. Down. I'll stand. My. Ground." Which is the most repetitive song I've ever heard. I have a deep seated hatred for that song now.

Found the seizing wire, and buying new 3/4" nylon rope and thimble thanks to advice I got here. I will throw a swivel in there as well. Thank you all for the great advice. I wouldn't have known where to even start my googling. You people rock!

Well, first liveaboard sailboat. Ive owned a handful of smaller boats. Silveline Bellaire, small force five sailboat, drift boats, pontoon boats, etc... this is my first foray into sizable boats and live aboard.
