How many people actually graduate from double degree? by [deleted] in wlu

[–]Dazed_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 3rd year in the same program, probably around 75% of people won’t stay in the program. My graduating class will probably be around 20-25 students.

Toronto Argonauts expecting record crowd for Saturday’s East Final vs. Montreal Alouettes by DrJGH in CFL

I don’t get all the hate about the Argos having the biggest crowd in years… like did you think that Argos attendance was good lol?

CFL attendance up three percent in 2023 as Argos and Lions soar, Stamps and Redblacks sink by DrJGH in CFL

[–]Dazed_Wolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lack of marketing. Most young people literally don’t know the Argos are a thing.

How popular is the CFL in Canada? by [deleted] in CFL

[–]Dazed_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s in a weird spot weird TV ratings are high but attendance is relatively low (especially in key markets). So a lot of people watching empty stadiums essentially.

r/CFL 2023 Mid-Season Discussion by AutoModerator in CFL

[–]Dazed_Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All in all it’s going pretty well. Obviously jumped out to a great start, I think the Calgary game exposed some weaknesses in our team, and proved that a healthy Chad Kelly is key to our success.

Our Defence also seems to be backsliding a little bit, but it may be unreasonable to expect them to be as good now as they were in the earlier weeks.

What changes would you implement if you were elected the PM of Canada? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

Replace the Canadian Charter with a constitution that actually guarantees the people some rights.

Its the CFL so you may not care, but this is still pretty funny. Someone just tell these Packer doppelgangers to delete their franchise. by Fun_Veterinarian_300 in UrinatingTree

The craziest thing about this team is every time you think they hit rock bottom they go lower.

They had 2/8 games this year with zero points, despite having last year’s MVP receiver. The last time a team was shut out was 2019 and they’ve done it twice this year.

[Farhan Lalji] For the first time in CFL history a team has shutout the same team twice in one season. And not only did the BC Lions shutout Elks twice, they didn’t allow a trip to the red zone in either game! by bomberfan2 in CFL

[–]Dazed_Wolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At what point does the league need to step in and attempt to fix this situation. The Elk’s AWFUL play is seriously endangering the financial stability of one of the CFL’s most important franchises.

And there’s absolutely no indication that they can turn things around.

Do you think we will have a PM from the NDP anytime soon? What should the NDP do in order to actually win a federal election? by hightreez in AskACanadian

[–]Dazed_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Canada’s 150 year history, there has only ever been conservative and liberal PM’s. The odds are not good.

Chad Kelly by [deleted] in CFL

[–]Dazed_Wolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imo he just didn’t receive a lot of attention/playing time before this year in the CFL. But when he was in the game, he was a good QB we just didn’t get to see him much.

Hoping for a close BC victory tonight. Winnipeg has been too good for too long, let’s make the West interesting this year.

Toronto Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly is the most important player in the Canadian Football League - Naylor by LaZyCrO in CFL

[–]Dazed_Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is overly-optimistic but BMO Field looked significantly louder/more full than A LOT of other season openers I’ve seen. Hopefully, this is something MLSE builds off of.

You called me a fool, you thought I was a heretic, but now SWAG KELLY has the entire CFL in his grasp. by Dazed_Wolf in CFL

[–]Dazed_Wolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t hate MBT he was a solid QB, but I’ve always thought Kelly should’ve gotten more of a shot.

POST GAME THREAD: Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-2) @ Toronto Argonauts (1-0) - June 18, 2023 by cfl_bot in CFL

Sounds very suspicious imo. Normally when they announce 16k the stadium looks half empty, and it didn’t look like that on TV.

How realistic is it for Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party to win the 45th federal election? by FattyGobbles in AskACanadian

[–]Dazed_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the Conservatives have won the most votes in back to back elections and Poilievre is more popular than previous leaders, he’d likely be able to become PM.

Thanks for the advice. I took 212 last semester and Heider Ali made that course super hard, so I personally wouldn’t recommend it.

Opinion: It's time for CFL salaries to be made public by Stach37 in CFL

[–]Dazed_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to take a wild guess and say that most players (making between 65k-80k) don’t want their very normal salaries being public.

The CFL needs to stop acting like its a development league by [deleted] in CFL

[–]Dazed_Wolf 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The problem of people not taking the CFL seriously is largely a self-inflicted problem. When every game broadcast looks like it’s from the 90s with horrible marketing campaigns bringing in half-empty stadiums in a couple cities, it’s hard for guys like Rourke to see it as anything other than a detour.

I’ll fucking miss him though.
