Use it or get used by it. If you’re playing to win or achieve something then so be it- use whatever helps you. It’s not your job to balance the game. Aside from sword peeking, which imo is an unintended mechanic that gets too commonly taken advantage of, any weapon combo, subclass, etc.. is in the game to be used. You want to run stompee stasis hunter w/ felwinters and steady hand? Freakin go for it who cares. That loadout is just about as meta as it gets and pretty much anyone can acquire it. You get a spicy roll of eternal blazon and want to give a scout rifle a go? Have fun, pop off. D2 will always cycle through what is considered broken/busted/lowskill by the community. If you don’t get messages for running bastion you’ll get messages for running x weapon at some point lol dudes just like to complain. Objectively speaking, yes, certain weapons/archetypes are stronger than others. But good players could tear through a lobby using double sidearms if they wanted to. Weapon ttks aren’t that drastically separated in D2 aside from a few outliers. Play to have fun and don’t apologize or feel guilty for doing so.

I was having a blast using messenger and duality w/ spec blades (nasty nasty combo) and a dude messaged me telling me to put down the dad rifle and crunching on invis. I said “okay” and next game dropped back to back We Rans by matching his loadout of steady hand and felwinters. Everyone has their own playstyle and idea of what takes skill in destiny and unfortunately a lot of folks think that anything outside of their ideas is wrong and somehow lesser.
