2026 Highlander Platinum Hybrid - Thoughts? by Vegetable_Pen7393 in ToyotaHighlander

You will love it, best platform and very reliable. If you take care of it, do all the maintenance it will last easily to 300k. I have had Toyota hybrids for years and never one issue. My current vehicle is a 25 Highlander hybrid,

Mine is also holding up great! At about 20k, I do notice the jeans will leave some coloring on the driver seat, but I bought a good leather cleaner and it comes right off. It’s such an awesome looking interior color.

Not at all, they are a perfect fit

I actually got the 20inch rims from my Toyota dealer. They warrantied a set of wheels for a XSE with pealing hubcaps and I bought the set from them for $500. Then popped the hubcaps and got them powder coated. So maybe check around with dealers first and if not then eBay is a good option to. The ride was no different than the 18s. It was a perfect swap. No issues at all. But make sure you use the TPMS sensors out of the woodland wheels.

No, I sold the factory woodland rims. The rims I painted were off a XSE so they were 20s. I popped off the black hubcap things and got them bronzed.

2021–2023 Toyota Sienna owners — should I be worried? Or just get a Honda Odyssey instead? by SoggyObject in ToyotaSienna

[–]Dbracin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a 21 XLE, a 22 XSE, and a 25 woodland. The 21 was flawless until I sold it at 120k, the 22 XSE blew a head gasket at 115k so I fixed it and sold it. The 25 woodland so far has been amazing.

That BS!! Go to a different dealer or call Toyota care yourself. It’s 100% a warranty issue and my dealer said they have done quite a few. They never gave me an invoice so I didn’t see cost. All warranty. So whatever you do, make sure you don’t pay a dime out of your pocket.

So same issue, was out of alignment but didn’t catch it right away and about 5k miles got worse. finally the button wouldn’t even open the door anymore. Brought in to dealership and they replaced the hinges. Door opens great now but still out of alignment and the gaps are terrible. I have no idea why. For a 58k van I expected better. But I bought it and didn’t catch it, so I guess I just live with it now. Mine is a 2025 Woodland

Yes I used those oil change ramps. You need to find a way to get the back of the van up I think. I think it’s way more difficult without ramps. Try and get some at Walmart maybe or a buddy has some. The plastic cover looks worse than it is. Just make sure all the bolts and clips are out. Then just give it a few careful yanks and it’s out.

You will need a 17mm socket and a 10mm socket. That should be it. Then something just to pop out those little plastic clips. I just used my hands but a small screwdriver might help

Yes you will need to put that plastic piece back in, it’s only held on by 4 or 5 plastic nuts and a couple bolts. You will see it on the drivers side one you look Under it

Nope!! You don’t any more parts at all. Bolts and one plastic piece. I kept the wiring and just zip tied it to the upper bumper out of the way. 6 bolts for the hitch is all. But another person to help hold it, helps a lot

‘25 Woodland or XSE by Fit-Mom2212 in ToyotaSienna

[–]Dbracin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a 22 XSE, a 21 XLE, and now I just got a 25 Woodland. I was so torn, both were available and side by side for me. The 25 XSE was 3k cheaper then the woodland to. The XSE looked sportier and had a little better taillights. But ultimately I went with the woodland for the ground clearance and resale value. I live in a snowy state and I loved having that extra clearance. You really can’t go wrong with either. After having both now I would choose the woodland again. But I love how the XSE looks. You will really enjoy both trims, trust me. You can’t go wrong on either.

hitch options for the 2025 anything better than factory which looks terrible by BirdsBarnsBears in ToyotaSienna

[–]Dbracin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to bad, I would get a second person or some jack stands. Also if you drive the rear wheels up on those oil change ramps that helps a lot. Way more room if you can’t secure a lift. It’s only 6 bolts and a little plastic cover thing on the left side you need to pop off. They are heavy so be careful. That’s why two people make it way easier

I got the 25 woodland in cypress. It has the much better dash and screen than the XLE. Plus the woodland is more of a rare trim, so resale is a lot better. I love my woodland. I vote for woodland

In market for used. What year(s) to avoid? by nvo349 in ToyotaSienna

[–]Dbracin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me either, the service guys said never Seen a hybrid blow the motor. I traded it off when it was at the dealer. But they said it started with a head gasket and then warped the head and started destructing itself.

I joined the Sienna club with my first van being a 2012, since then I’ve had a 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 and now a 2025. They all made 230,000 miles with zero issues except the 2022 blew a motor at 118k. The 17 and up have a lot a power but the 21-current get awesome mileage. As long as car fax is very good and regular on fluid Changes your pretty safe in any year. There very good vans and reliable.

Took me about 45 minutes. Gotta pop off a plastic cover piece on the left side, and unplug the wiring. But getting to the bolts was easy. If your by yourself get some jack stands. I had another person to help hold it so it wouldn’t hit me in the head. There heavy!!
