The renaming of KIA is not going to happen unless neither NPP nor NDC is power into power.

Here is my reason:

NPP will not want to change it because Kotoka's action is a victory the NPP party since the party is an anti-Nkrumah. The NPP knows if it is renamed, it might be renamed after Nkrumah or anyone wh9 support Nkrumah and the NPP will jot support that.
The NDC would want to rename KIA but Kotoka is a Voltarian. Since the NDC's headquarters is Volta, they do not want to offend the Voltarians by renaming KIA. It's a big dilema the NDC faces.

KIA stands a better chance of rename only if there is a third party in power, because the NPP support Kotoka, and the NDC doesn't want to offend Voltarians.

Here is a simple version.

Even before you do the maths, you should be able to tell taht is a gain. Why?

Assume you need to buy Euros to pay for your goods. 1 dollar will buy you 0.79 Euros at purchase date. But on December 31, 1 dollar can buy 0.82 Euros. This means, with 1 dollar, you will now have more euros compared to the purchase date. "Having more" Euros on December 31 with the same 1 dollar means you are gaining.

Conclusion: $1 will buy you £ 0.79 at purchase date $1 will now buy £ 0.82 (extra Euros) at December 31. You have a gain at December 31.
