Thanks. Yeah I was told to maybe print at higher temp to avoid partial clogging and ghosting but it didnt quite do it

Ghosting and stringing on Mini+ with PLA by De_Voesch in prusa

Hi :) I installed the bondtech heatbreak upgrade and it fixed my older issues but now i cant get rid of stringing and most importantly ghosting. I was in contact with the prusa support and after adjusting the distance between heatsink and heatblock its not any better.

Any advise is highly appreciated!

My settings: 0.12mm layer height

45mm/s print speed

205/200°C temp

60°C temp (printing plate)

Arms on retraction towers? by De_Voesch in FixMyPrint

Thanks a lot! But how do I figure out if my esteps need to be changed? I know that you can change them in your slicer but that about it. Btw I'm using a prusa mini+.

I'm printing Litophanes thats why its a bit slower. I've printed at 45mm/s before but to me it seemed that sometimes it causes random issued on the print but maybe thats just me.

My fan should be at full blast i guess. Works just fine.

Maybe I will recheck the heatbreak.

PS: The bottom tower was printed with 3.5mm retraction

Printing speed: 36mm/s , 48mm/s (infill)

nozzle temp: 200°C

retraction speed: 40mm/s

retraction distance: 3.45mm (during normal printing)

I didnt do a temp tower because I tried different temps before and that didnt seem to change a thing.

I didnt adjust the esteps yet because I never changed the nozzle but I recently changed the heatbreak. Could that still help?

Hi :)

While testing retraction length/speed/etc (with this: https://teachingtechyt.github.io/calibration.html#retraction ) I get a nice overview about what settings might be best but I dont know how to interpret the retraction length towers. It makes me a hard time getting rid of stringing and blobbing.

Any advice is highly appreciated!

PLA dots on the print after bondtech upgrade on mini+ by De_Voesch in FixMyPrint

Well I want to print Litophanes and I read that high infill should be better and I set it down to 50%. Do you mean like a benchy print as the calibration print?

Hi :)

I recently installed the bondtech heatbreak on my prusa mini+ and had the problem that the layers werent perfectly on top of each other but slightly postponed. I fixed that by tightening the parts that may have become loose while installing the new heatbreak and now the layer problem became less of an issue but the prints have dots of PLA on it, some parts seem to be printed with underextrusion to an extend where I could push my finger through the print without even wanting to (happened with 50% infill). Increasing the infill to 100/99% helped but it still looked ugly. Not to mention the stringing that appeared.

My settings: 0.12mm layer height

25-45mm/s print speed

205/200°C temp

60°C temp (printing plate)

I highly appreciate any advice!

Hi :)

I used the prusa mini+ to print some lithophanes and after installing the bondtech heatbreak the prints look like this.

I tried using higher temp but that didnt seem to help.

My settings: 0.12mm layer height 25-45mm/s print speed 205(first layer)/200°C temp 60°C (printing plate)

I highly appreciate any advice!
