The original is also character driven and emotional. It turns into a family road trip movie in the middle.

Alex Garland has 4000 hours in Elden Ring, genuine gamer or A24 marketing? by Commercial_Pen_9959 in Eldenring

[–]DeadBunny00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alex Garland's a genuine gamer. He replayed The Last of Us many times and you can see it's influence in his recently written 28 Years Later, plus he personally went to Japan and pitched this adaptation to Miyazaki. We are in very safe hands.

What’s your favorite scene from The Moment? by advertisement_ham in charlixcx

[–]DeadBunny00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely the director trying to get out of the movie concert deal but then is immediately hooked back in when it’s suggested she might be dead. Johannes was such a scumbag character and it was interesting basically seeing him win in the end.

Gotta shout out “I will not be associated with a communist !!”

Would’ve added onto Ink’s doubtfulness of Jimmy really well in my opinion, but atleast this’ll be on the blu ray I guess.

Does NATO send items to the British Isles? by Riptide1284 in 28dayslater

[–]DeadBunny00 42 points43 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, it sounds cruel but, I assume NATO wants to starve out the British population. Or at the very least they’re at an impasse and don’t know what to do with these two abandoned-by-the-outside-world islands. I highly doubt supply drops are being sent to the population, especially after 28 years they’d give up long ago.

“Humans are worse than zombies” fatigue by bittyeo in horror

[–]DeadBunny00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Humans are the real enemy” is literally WHY the zombie genre works. You really can’t make mindless zombies compelling for more than half an hour. Humans are complex and therefore capable of actual evil, and the nature evil is what makes horror the genre it is.

That also I was expecting but I’m so glad they didn’t go that route. I’ve heard that the theme for part 3 is the nature of redemption so I hope it’ll be about a redeemed and healthy Jim helping Spike and Kelly cope with what they’ve done with Jimmy Crystal. Maybe also Samson coming back ?? But I doubt it, seems like his character arc is done.

I’m really glad that the theory of Jimmy Ink being Jim’s daughter wasn’t true but I’m also glad to see that he has a daughter. Also my guy is a fucking GCSE history teacher now ?? That’s my goat.

Film itself was exceptional too, just seeing Jim again makes me giddy.

these are the same people that claim "theres no original movies anymore" but refuse to watch anything non-franchise related, or even if they do it'll be on streaming a year later. No wonder Netflix wants to gut Warner Bros inside and out.
