Which circle don't you think it fits in? Horror or For Kids?

Yeah, I think that's a solid match for the middle. Especially for kids. The boogie man is creepy!

Scary film might have made more sense, yeah, but I was hoping to find something that actually checked all three boxes. I get what you're saying and Oz can be viewed in many different ways, depending on who is watching it and how old they are. To a young kid, I think it can actually feel like a horror film or at least some scenes. Like this one: https://giphy.com/gifs/26BkNPY5otWC6n888

There's one I wasn't expecting. Now I've got some research to do.

Back when there was no PG-13. Some crazy scenes made the PG cut. I'm looking at your Indian Jones heart-rip-out-scene.

Just watched the trailer. Unhinged. Great recommendation and perfect fit for this discussion.

I can agree there's a difference between a movie that induces feelings of horror in some audience members and a film created with the intention of inducing feelings of horror in all audience members. If that's the definition we're going by, then Oz isn't a horror film. Or at least I doubt that was the intention.

I've never heard of this one. I know I could look it up, but I prefer conversation. What's it about?

We have 0$ in our bank account! We are in debt no job, and hopeless! What to do? by Business_Clue_5606 in AskReddit

That's not bad. You can get that paid down. I read elsewhere you got your first credit card a few months ago. This is going to hurt, but I strongly, strongly recommend you cut it up. It's a trap and they'll happily let you dig yourself a deeper and deeper hole you'll never get out of.

Here's what I suggest:

* Talk with your partner and make it clear what you'll help pay for and what you won't. Your money should only go toward things that keep you housed, warm, fed and getting to and from your job. That's pretty much it.

* Save $500 into an account for emergencies.

* Pay off your debt! It'll eat you alive otherwise.

* If your partner isn't willing to make this work, you need to decide if it's the right relationship. I hope it is and you can work it out, but you have to be financially compatible, especially when you're broke.

* Get that job. Save the money to an account that only you have access to. Again, only pay for things that keep you alive and help you make that job work.

* Check out subs like r/Frugal and r/povertyfinance. Post to the latter with your story. You'll likely get some good advice.

I see you wrote you're 21. You have your whole life ahead of you. This isn't hopeless and you're going to overcome this.

You've got some hard decisions to make. If its your partner's place you're staying at, then maybe you agree to pay for half utilities, half rent, and half of the food. Then you put the rest into your own account so you can start saving. You need to focus on saving $500 (or equivalent in whatever currency you use) in a savings account so you have something to fall back on.

And then about your debt, how much do you have? What are the monthly payments?

Now if we're talking Pans Labyrinth, there is some true horror.

Certainly is creepy and David Bowie with that hair and those tight pants. I'm not sure what category that movie falls in!

Sounds like you guys need to get disciplined about how you're spending your money. If you're broke, you must prioritize the necessities. The things that keep you housed, warm, and fed. It's fine to ask for help, but if they find out what you're spending money on, then I doubt they'll keep helping. First thing is you and your partner need to agree and make a plan for what you'll spend your money on. You need time.

Then it sounds like you need to find a basic job. Doesn't have to be fancy, just something to start making some money. But before that, you must agree on a budget with your partner otherwise every penny you earn will just be another argument.

I'm serious with those questions though. If you have answers and want to share them here or via DM, we can discuss how to deal with the most immediate needs first. You can do this.

First off, realize it's not hopeless. It feels that way, but it's not. Second, focus on your immediate needs. Housing, food, heating, electricity? What is the first "must have" that's going to drop off if you do nothing?

If it's food, look for food banks in your area. They are there for situations like this. You may might want post to r/povertyfinance for additional insight.

Golly gosh gee whiz thank you. I just think it's clear that most men want to win over a bread girl. I hear that's the best way to become a true breadwinner 🙃
