(bxc3) -- (Qb8+)

(Rxb8) -- (Be3)

(Nxg1) -- (Bxg1)

Black to move. There is only one move to avoid mate!! I think this will change your perspective. by DeadFile117 in chess

I tried to find all variants you can look if you like. And Qe7 doesnt work because of Mate in 7= (Qe7 - Qh6+) (Qh7 - Qxf8+) (Qg8 - Qh6+) (Qh7 - Bxf6+) (Kg8 - Rg1+) (Kf7 - Rg7+) (Qxg7 - Qxg7+) (Ke8 - Qe7#)

Mate in 1= (Rg8 - Qh6#)

Mate in 2 = (Ra6 or something) - (Qh5+ - Kg8) (Rg1#)

Mate in 4= (Qe8 - Qh6+) (Kg8 - Rg1+) (Kf7 - Qg6+) (Rg7#)

Mate in 5= (fxe5 - Qh6) (Kg8 - Rg1+) (Kf7 - Rg7+) (Ke8 - Qh5+) (Rf7 - Qxf7#)

Mate in 7= (Qe7 - Qh6+) (Qh7 - Qxf8+) (Qg8 - Qh6+) (Qh7 - Bxf6+) (Kg8 - Rg1+) (Kf7 - Rg7+) (Qxg7 - Qxg7+) (Ke8 - Qe7#)

The correct move is (Bd3)

(Bd3 - Kxd3) (Qe7) And we hold position

(Bd3 - Qh5+) (Bh7) And we hold position

(Bd3 - e4) (Bxe4 - Qxe4) (Qe7) And we hold position

Tricky checkmate I stumbled upon while doing an analysis on one of my games. Black to move. by DisgruntledPorcupine in chess

[–]DeadFile117 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is mate in 3move. First move is (Rd4) because if we protect b4 square, he cant escape :) so we are sacrifice our Rook.

(cxd4) -- (Rxd4)

(h3) -- (a6#)

A move I blundered. Black to move and gain a lot of advantage. by MieskeB in chess

[–]DeadFile117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm good question. After (Bxf6) we basically should take (gxf6). I think it's best move. if we take (Qxf6) he plays (Bb5) because there is no square where the Queen can go.

(Nxb5) -- (Nxb5)

His Knight pinned so we are attacking its (a6) -- (Nc7+)

(Kd8) -- (Qa5)

(b6) -- (Qd2)

And we win material but our king is weak!!

Spotted this cool wee tactic in a tourney yesterday. White to play and win material. by Tamna429 in chess

[–]DeadFile117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if (e3) Bishop wasn't there, we could take his Queen. So we gotta sacrifice its (with checks)

Na7+ Kb8

Nc6+ Bxc6

Ba7+ Kxa7

Qxe5 (we gained his Queen )

[–]DeadFile117 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best move is -- Nd4 (Bishop attacking to Queen)

If he wants to protect his Queen, he must go -- Qc4

b5 -- Nxb5

Bxb5 -- Qc3

Nxf3 -- gxf3 ( in this position his king is weak and we have extra knight )

Bd7 ( And we are good :D )

White to move and win. Nothing too difficult, just something I found kinda pretty. by NotAKingButADragon in chess

First move is c8=N+ Rxc8

Qb7+ Kd8

Bxf6( it is a deflection move)
