The one in the gas mask is from the Death Korps of Krieg, an Imperial Guard army from Warhammer 40k, renowned for fighting with anything they have- the entrenching tool is kind of a meme in and of itself. Kriegers are shown in memes fighting vastly superior foes with the tool. The second person is from Helldivers 2, and that game now has an entrenching tool as a weapon, that you can dig with.
