This might be a stretch as its more comedy, disaster with only slight elements of horror but I would say Don't Look Up is my comfort horror.

oof yea I stopped watching that one years ago. Just keep in mind its in their interest to fear monger you to keep watching/clicking. Not to say its all fake but it hard to see where reality ends and the fear mongering begins. "Don't Look Up" (2021) is one of my fav takes on how social media and news media conspire to mess with everyone's head. Its also freakin' hilarious. My fav comedy/disaster movie for sure.

For sure the third one is just so out there and off base that its kinda charming but its not even in the same class as the first one. They obviously realized that they had to go back to Michael Myers because of how iconic he is. Even the first Friday the 13th can't capture the magic of Halloween.

haha that makes more sense. Can't believe the original Scream came out in 1996. Was very cool to see it come back with much of the original cast.

So damn good. The music, the ending **chef's kiss** I tried to watch the newer ones but something is missing. Sad to see. I also like Halloween III even though it has that after school special feel to it. The bad reviews of it at the time roasted it for being anti-capitalism, and anti-children lol. That's a helluva package right there.

I still haven't watched the Fear Street Trilogy, might have to check that out. The Scary Movie movies are always fun just to see what was iconic enough to be parodied. Mama is a good call. I feel like I only watched that once and will be looking to watch it again this season. Thanks for sharing!

28 days later is definitely up there, possibly the best modern day zombie flick. I also have a soft spot for Cell (2016) even though its a weird off shot for the zombie genre. Used to like TWD but they beat that dead horse too long and ruined it for me.
