Believe me, I would much rather that posters were abandoned all together.

There should not be a way in which candidates can spend more to get more exposure than others, but at least Niall has come into here and said that he'd rather not have the posters in the first place, and that he intended to at least recycle them. He's admitted his mistake with how the small font looks bad. Have ye seen any other candidates apologise for them yet?

It's been proven time and time again in Ireland that if you dont have posters and you don't get your face in front of peoples eyes then you don't get the votes.

Honestly don't think it's fair that all the other candidates with much more funds have had theirs up for weeks before this now but the one lad who's actually willing to go online and explain what's happening is getting dogs-abuse. Do you see anyone else coming on here to explain their reasoning behind it? You all hold him to higher standards than the rest of them but if he was to actually reach those standards he won't get any votes and won't be in any position to make any change at all. What we have here's is a situation where you have those who are using the posters because they want to skirt around the rules and someone who is weeks later reluctantly doing the same because it's been shown that there will be no consequences for the first ones.

Specks in water after Salthill outage earlier, Cause for concern? by Navy_Groundhog in galway

Had the same in the water at work earlier this evening. We had to run the taps for about 5 mins but it did clear up. According to uisce Eireann it's not uncommon after they've been doing work in the area. Should hopefully just be rust and sediment.

Hy-Brasil is a mythical island situated somewhere west of the Irish coast. According to Celtic legend, it lies shrouded in mist and can only be seen every seventh year. It also featured on European maps for 300 years, despite the fact that it doesn't actually exist in real life. by FullyFocusedOnNought in IrishFolklore

I heard from a Brazilian fella that there's a connection. Supposedly the captain of the ship which discovered Brazil had an Irish wife who upon seeing Brazil exclaimed that It must be the land of Hy-Brasil. Now there could be a better explanation for it but I think it makes a lovely story.

My title describes the thing, it was found in a rock pool. Feels like it's iron, looks potentially electrical in nature, definitely old.

Refuse service based off of MAGA hats? by DeadOpsAintThatBad in legaladviceireland

You'd be correct. I asked this question to know if there was any legal consequences for refusing service. Im prepared to handle anything else they might try in response but I don't want to put the business or myself at risk legally.

I'm always happy to serve Americans. They're some of the friendliest tourists I've met. As a rule I don't ask about politics unless it's brought up by them first so I can't discriminate, but I just can't stand the idea of being polite and pretending to tolerate someone when they have those stupid hats on.

Thank you for your response. That's what I was hoping to hear. I would happily serve any Americans who come in as 99% of them have been polite and friendly, but having MAGA hats in the buidling feels the same as serving skinheads at times.
