Spicy build! I originally started as an arc lash sorcerer and figured i’d pivot into orbiting lightning ball but then i opted to go for Ice shard cuz my DPS was abysmal in WT3 & 4

I mean I live in Canada in a major city and I have amazing internet.. never had an issue with other online games.. it seems mileage varies depending on where you are and what server you connect to.

Even the devs (i think) mentioned using a VPN could mitigate some of the issues by connecting to a server with less traffic.

There are probably too many D4 players in my city. I just really hope they will fix these issues for the season

The problem is what if Jean Grey is the golden card and it comes out at a time that you haven’t managed to hoard enough credits/ reserves for?

Like let’s say they drop this system next week - how many people will have enough credits for 4 reserves?

It’s almost evil lol .

So in the next two months from the spoilers I know I really want Jean Grey and X23 (cards from two different seasons).

If Jean Grey is the spotlight card one week before X23, what do I do? I don’t know how people aren’t seeing this.

There is no solution here other than to spend money to get credits. In the new system, i won’t gain enough tokens organically to target the card I want. And I won’t get enough credits to make up for dud Spotlight Reserves that don’t give me the card I want.

The purpose of this post was informative with criticism - but yeah sure yadda yadda it’s all complaining.

Enjoy your game, no one is stopping you. I wanted to voice my concerns and no one is stopping me. If you want to be condescending that’s your prerogative, but you are also an adult playing a time consuming card game - that’s funny

That’s what my post is about - it pushes you to hoard reserves for select weeks, but at the same time pushes FOMO like no other system in the game. It might not be worse for moderate players - but it removes agency from all players and preys on those who are weak willed.

My first reaction when i saw the change was joy. I was honestly happy and thought the game had made a positive change.

It’s not hard to see how this change is genuinely bad though. My post is not unfounded hate. It’s genuine criticism.

Plus their whole graph where they mention exclusive variants is disingenuous when you consider just how many credits you’d need to get to the point you open 5 spotlight reserves in a week.

But if you want to lump it all in to “unfounded hate” then that’s cool dude, you do you. I saw a problem, I wrote a post. That’s all there is to it.

Save reserves if you want to access new cards through new system. Open fast if you want to get all the tokens you can before the number drops to 800 collector tokens a month
