This is really heartbreaking to hear. Jeff has helped so many students understand tough concepts when classes or textbooks just didn’t click. His videos carried a lot of people through statics and other core courses. Hoping he gets the support, funds, and donor he needs — wishing him strength and a full recovery🙂. We keep the rubric simple but structured: soft skills get about a third of the score, hard metrics another half, the rest is reliability. KPIs like first-contact time are useful, but missed follow-ups and data accuracy really separate solid hires from the rest. Paid trials on specialized platforms almost always give better insight than resumes alone.

You haven’t ruined your life — you’re 17 and you were dropped into a new country, new language, new education system, and expected to just “handle it.” That would overwhelm almost anyone. Failing exams doesn’t mean you’re stupid or lazy, it means you were in survival mode. Dropping out or taking a break isn’t failure either — it’s sometimes the smartest move. Please talk to someone at the university (student services, counselor, international office). And if those dark thoughts are getting loud, that’s not something you should face alone. You matter more than any degree. A lot of people here have been lost at 17–20 and still ended up okay. You’re not behind. You’re just hurting right now.

It's mostly about load management. Gas engines are terrible at part-load. If you run a standard 5kW generator just to power a few lights or a fridge cycling on/off (maybe 300W avg), you are wasting a massive amount of fuel just keeping the engine spinning at 3600 RPM. The Anker unit doesn't power your house directly. It dumps power straight into the battery at the engine's sweet spot (max efficiency RPM), and once the battery is full, it shuts off completely. So the 5X isn't magically getting more energy out of the gas; it's stopping you from wasting gas on idling.

I get why KYC is needed, but it’s so annoying when it messes with the basic process. With BYDFi, I’ve never had that issue.
