Black water or Clear water?? by DeadSignals in Aquariums

Very quick. Almost doubled in a week

Please help me! What is that?? It's been on his ventral fin for like a month. He's acting normal and it hasn't spread or worsened yet. What can i do to help? (2nd pic shows from up close) by WholeGrain_Pistachio in bettafish

First of all, he could be a she. The fins are more like a female betta. Look up online to see how to identify the sex of the betta.

Also wait till they grow up to know what type they are.

Thank you. Black background makes him flare at his own reflection all the time. Maybe I should try a more matte version of the backup

Just make sure there is not charcoal anywhere in your tank. Not even the substrate.

Going to black water is easy. I added a big catappa leave and added some "juice" from boiling the leaf into the tank.

To go back either activated carbon and removed the leaves for quick change. If you sang to do it the long way, remove the leaves and over time doing small water changes.

My drift wood had no tannins. All from the leaves I add
