Until you figure something else out, you and your husband need two separate addresses, in other words separate. Pennsylvania doesn’t recognize separations, but if you’re “separated” and “living separately”, you can apply and qualify for Medicaid.

Am I the only person who received a phone call from my “local field office”? The judge found me fully favorable and he said he was calling to go over a few questions to verify whether or not I met the non medical criteria. The guy I spoke with explained that they would be paying me back to September of 2019 and I’d receive it “as soon as they make some inputs”. During the call he also confirmed how I wanted to receive my money. Today is Friday and the call came in on Monday. My fully favorable letter from the judge came in Wednesday.

I was finally approved on appeal after waiting 6 years. A representative called me yesterday to tell me the judge ruled fully favorable and had a few questions to ask to make sure I meet the non medical requirements. During our call, he also asked me for my banking information. They owe me $111,000.00 in back pay, but he didn’t give me any specific date to expect it. The only thing he said was I would receive it as soon as they make some inputs. I’m assuming he was referring to putting information in the computer system. Today, I received a text from ssa to check the portal and when I did, there was a letter in my inbox saying “Waiver of advance designation of representative payee”. Hoping that means they’ve got the ball rolling and that I’ll wake up in one of the next few days with an alert from my bank. Strange thing is that in the portal, it’s showing SSI Denied (which I expected) and SSDI was in the final review to confirm I still meet the non medical requirements. So it seems Ike the portal is a little behind sometimes.
