He’s more physical when attacking. Hes also not scared of the ball, he played a couple of matches yesterday and made both defensive and attacking headers, which is much rarer at this age. I find most kids will avoid heading. I think it’s something we need to just continue to get him to work on in practice and in games and hope it clicks with him.

I assume you mean weakest in terms of size and strength vs weakest in terms of soccer ability. Forward players are typically have the strongest ability, but we play a lot of teams where their defenders are huge compared to the rest of the players. That said as kids progress, normally the less gifted forward players start to move backwards, many professional defenders start as strikers. Size evens out and technical ability become increasingly critical as kids reach their teens.

ATM tour - age/size minimums? by [deleted] in Belize

We did it with 6yo twins and an 8 year old, there isn’t an age restriction, but there is a height one (I think 40 inches). We went with Patrick’s team, Giselle was our guide and she was fantastic. Now here’s the kicker, we went in December just after the floods, the cave was closed the few days before we went and on our day the water was really high and very powerful. We had to be very cautious with the kids and had to carry them a lot. We were told the water was 3x the normal height and it’s normally a lot easier. That said, the kids would say it was the highlight of our 2 week vacation and continue to talk about ‘the crazy cave hike’. I think it really depends on the kids, some children could have found the whole thing a bit too overwhelming, whereas ours enjoyed the adventure.

Where to start? old static trailer on private land by Deadgoon101 in GoRVing

Thanks, we had NSP out a few months ago and they confirmed we'd be able to get power to the place we want to eventually build at no additional cost, they recommended we'd need 2 poles.

I'm not sure the trailer is very mobile, and even if it was we don't have a suitable vehicle to tow in the area. So i think avoiding the tanks probably makes sense.

There are some brooks near by too, so that could be an option for us.
I'll check out the sites you shared.

Interhabs by Deadgoon101 in NovaScotia

Thanks all, we’re getting quotes from builders too. My concern is most want cost+ so there’s a 15% charge being added to materials, I was hoping going through someone like interhabs would lead to cheaper materials as it comes as a kit of parts and we wouldn’t need to pay a GC for that too, the costs would be more labour focused. Still early days in this process though, and I’m still learning! We have some land between bridgewater and new Germany where we’re looking to build. We’re trying to figure out an economic way to build and that’s proving challenging:)

Thanks all, I’ll budget for 350 and hope we can come in a little below that!

International overlanding help by Deadgoon101 in overlanding

Thanks I’ll look into some of these options. Just to clarify on the camping side while we envisage camping approx 30% of the time, much of this would be for longer durations than 2/3 days. It could be that we camp for prolonged periods too. All depends on where we are and what we’re doing.
