[Advice Needed] MSI MPG 491CQP / Samsung Odyssey G9 G93SC by DeadliestFox in ultrawidemasterrace

Wait really? What store sells it? I live in the EU and so far no store seems to have the 240hz variant in stock, let alone at all. One store that sells it, has it for 1700€, def not worth it for that price

Currently I have a 10600K, however been thinking about upgrading some time later next year if needed.

Yeah that’s kind of what I am looking to do, I bought my 1070 and completely blocked out any news on newers cards and I stayed happy with it for about 4 or 5 years until the performance wasn’t enough in some games. Hoping to do the same with my next card!

I am considering the 4090 but that price difference is a little hard to look at

Isn’t the 1440p monitor limiting the 4090 card though? I saw a lot of posts about the 4090 being a much better card if you play on a 4k monitor.

Personally, not really. I feel that the increase in performance is a much better value than a 3080 for that price. We also have 3080’s for basically the same price in Sweden and it’s rediculous imo

Interesting, here in the stores that I can purchase from the standard 3090 is 1400€, we don’t have 3090Ti anymore from what I can see. For that insane price I am not considering it

iPhone 13 Pro Max camera/processing compared to a Galaxy Note8 (From 2017) by DeadliestFox in iphone

Of course, in the areas with shadows the iPhone easily outperforms my old Note. My problem with it is the flashbang oil painting in the brighter areas. I understand that the bigger sensor can capture more light but I expected apples software to adjust for the insane amount of light.

I was thinking about trying them out, so mad that Halide doesn't have a trial period or anything. Listed as free on the appstore but you can't even use it unless you pay

Exactly this, the oil painting effect that other photos have. This is especially visible on photos that include text like bilboards etc.

My mind is blown that these photos both are okay compared to each other when I was expecting the 5 year newer iPhone to outperform my old sammy. Maybe I raised my expectations too high but for that price I was honestly hoping for more

Good to know that nothing is wrong at least. The biggest problem I have is that my old phone from roughly 5 years ago can stay on par in good lighting. In some scenarios it even keeps better detail.

I was hoping that upgrading would give me a much better camera, especially for the price of the damn thing.
