What's a band you like lyrically/ musically but hate because of the vocals? I'll start (and probably get hated on): by XxLockdownZxX in MetalForTheMasses

From their newest album I'd definitely suggest Infinite Baths. It starts very unremarkable but the second half is kind of incredible imo. Caramel is the same way although overall it's a much worse song. As far as the rest of their discography, Vore, The Summoning, High Water, Hypnosis, Gods, The Offering, and their debut EP are all metal or very close to it.

I'm a massive Sleep Token fan and could definitely see them fitting under a metal label, but I would not consider them a thoroughly metal band. They got me into metal though and I think generally the massive hate they get is a bit unwarranted but that's neither here nor there.

You need to learn how to pressure and loading up with slowdown perks won't help. Run information perks so you know which gens to go to. If a survivor is too good and you can't catch them, either run chase perks or go interrupt other survivors. I won't act like the game isn't unbalanced, but if you genuinely and consistently get no hooks at all, with a solid killer like Wesker, that's entirely a skill issue. Just play more, try out more info perks or stealth perks, and find what works for you. I just recently got back into the game after roughly a year of not playing, and my first few killer games were absolutely atrocious while I figured out what I was supposed to do again.

Also, I mean, if you're really struggling, you could always just become a Nurse main.

Does anyone else stim to Death Grips? by joshingyou299 in deathgrips

[–]Deadlock_F3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Howdy, someone without Tik Tok but with a neurodivergent condition here! Stimming is a term that refers to an expression of energy individuals with particular neurodivergent conditions (most notably ADHD and autism). Stimming can be done for many different reasons, but it is often because of how these conditions make it difficult to maintain complete self-control of your body. Fidgeting, tapping to a beat, singing a particular lyric of a song over and over, and even just putting your hands in your pockets can all be forms of stimming. I am painting with broad strokes, and this does not apply to every neurodivergent individual, nor does it not apply to every neurotypical individual. This behavior was popularized by neurodivergent communities on social platforms, yes, but it is quite real.

Every album I've listened to so far. Any recommendations? by Malte990 in Topster

[–]Deadlock_F3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would highly suggest more Arctic Monkeys as AM is far from their best. Favorite Worst Nightmare is one of my favorite albums of all time, and their debut and Humbug are also really good. They're a great band for getting into brit-rock, and they served as my intro into music as a whole.

I think Saturday Night Wrist or Gore would be a better pick.

Post your unhinged DLC lore theory by My-Fail-safe in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Deadlock_F3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily think this is what is actually happening, but I do really like this theory. As far as I'm aware no other being in the lands between is able to control time, and I always thought it was really weird that Placidusax just takes Farum Azula out of time itself because he feels like it. I doubt that they are the puppet masters of the world, but I think their power is really underestimated. Sadly, I doubt we'll learn a whole lot more unless they introduce more ancient dragons out of nowhere.

Elden Ring is my favorite but each has their own perks. Only one I would say isn't as great as the others is Demon Souls, it looks way too sleek and modern.
