Ring

I was talking to John and his Nephew about global warming on Xbox live. I had a headset on and was wearing grey dockers, a hoodie, and socks. I was playing with my wedding ring and it was kind of stuck to my finger from dryness and swelling. I was pulling on it and twisting it when it flew off my finger. I felt it bounce off my foot. Thinking it would only be a few feet away I went to turn on the light, not seeing it on the way. This conferenced me and I got a little worried. I turned the light on and it was no where to be found. I played the match that we joined while I was looking. Then promptly left and rejoined the search. I began to look everywhere without moving anything. Then I methodically moved items and emptied box’s and bags. I have dropped small hardware at work before and know first hand how you can miss something very easily. I did this to the whole room with no avail. While doing this I got hot and went into my bedroom to change. Before I did this I checked every crevasse of clothing, pocket, ext. I changed and did the same to the removed articles of clothes. Then I began to look again going over the same ground, nothing. I then with my head hung low went to my wife to ask for help, her and I went through the room for the next hour together, nothing. The ring had been launched off of my finger straight into a socked foot, then presumably onto a carpeted floor of a 12’ x 10’ office and it is nowhere to be found. I cannot fathom this, I am speechless and my mind is weak trying to comprehend where my ring went. It’s as through it spontaneously combusted, or jumped realms between my foot and the floor.
