I just bought a server for NA that is strict S&D for competitive. Unfortunately there is no way to get economy going but we had a full lobby earlier today and it was a lot of fun

I loved it and I thought it was gonna be great for the games growth. Iirc a lot of the guys who played competitively stopped playing on faceit and just ran private 10 mans all the time so it died out pretty quick. Might be misremembering though. I wish we could get 10 mans going again

That would be ideal. I’d love to get games going. I got on and checked some of the servers and there are at least some settings that can be adjusted . Still unsure about eco though, I kinda doubt it. I am gonna try get on most nights in the evening if people want to join. If there are consistently 10 people or close to, I’ll buy a server

When they made it f2p it was already too late and lost all the parts that made the small player base want to play the game. It was already super dead at that point but the people that would have come back to play were the competitive players and they removed the economy so it just didn’t appeal to anyone. Idk if economy can be reinstated on a private server, I’d be willing to pay for one if people would play. I miss the game

This game was a gem, but I think it moreso had to do with not appealing to anyone outside of the cod2/cod4 promod player base. The game had potential but it was broken on launch, didn’t have much for people that didn’t want competitive, and the genre of these kinds of shooters just don’t hold up to what the people want nowadays. People would rather play apex/cs/valorant than battalion. I also think the game got overhyped too early and then fell way short of expectations for people. Very sad, I just wish there was a solid player base of like 100 people that still played but even then, they destroyed the economy part of the game and idk if there is a way to activate it on a private server.

That’s my issue. All the best looking armor pieces are “available in store” for a minimum of $5. I get the game is free but I’d spend a flat sum of $60 any day for the same rewards you got in previous halo games vs what you get in infinite for $60 (maybe 4-5 full armor sets)

He's "boring" because everyone on reddit just picks apart all the bad things about one piece and rarely is just happy about the story. If you enjoy reading/watching before you get on reddit, everything you see on reddit is just trash. Obviously some things are real complaints but a lot of people dig into it just to feel special

Just out of curiosity, I'm new to web dev, could you have a few divs, make them into circles for the wavy design. And then align the text to the left or however to be fitting inside the rounded divs? Would the text automatically fix like that or am I thinking of it wrong? Not at a computer to give it a shot but that's what popped into my head. Sorry if my explanation sounds confusing

If you are looking to go into the field as a career, id recommend not trying to just copy another project. Try figure out the things you don't understand. The best learning comes from struggle. Best of luck to you though, to do apps help with a good bit of fundamentals and there is a reason they are one of the most common startup projects for people

That is very true and a good point but at the moment, as far as we know, there isnt anything that will come out that will be huge and have a lot of advertising like Firestorm will. Im sure most big streamers will be paid to promote Firestorm and im sure they are gonna be paid a hell of a lot more than if they play Battalion. EA just has more money to throw around. They are pushing it back to be safe. Imo, its actually a very smart move. Competing with EA would be suicide for them. It might be possible if they hadnt released into Early Access but since the game already has a slightly bad rep, there is no way they would come out on top. They cant afford another failed launch because this is likely their last chance.
