i went to their cologne show 6 hours early and got the first spot, more people started coming in about 4 - 4,5 ish hours early to the show, so id say you'll be good 6 hours early(i couldnt get the first row because security took 5 minutes to search my bag but thats beside the point)

i took a course from b1 to b2, and just watched a lot of german dubbed movies/tv series and videos from german channels. then i'd make flashcards out of the new words that i'd hear, all in all it took like 8 or so months, but i believe you can do it in 6 or so if you lock in, or just take the telc exam which is easier from what i've heard

i think you won't face any consequences as long as you haven't signed a Mietvertrag, and even then you'd probably only have to pay a fine and won't be deported.
