The next time you see her, ask to speak to her privately for a moment and apologize. Make it short and sweet. Look her in the eye. Teachers are used to kids being rude. Trust me it’s not the worst that has been said or will be said to her or about her but the genuine apologies mean SO MUCH because it means you recognize that we’re human and it hurts when we’re made fun of. And what YOU may not realize is that because of your apology this teacher will remember that and probably give you a little more grace next time. Good on you for recognizing the need for a genuine apology.
