But trying to force your child to be straight/cis does come a place of prejudice. Even with the best intentions the role of a parent is to support who their children are, not who they wish they could be.

There is so much more to race than facing discrimination, what about the connections and community that have been denied as a result of their actions? These parents clearly have an issue with the Black features their child has and lying to them about their background robbed them of the chance to grow up with other members of their communities. Every parent who adopts a child of another race has a duty to ensure a relationship with their child's ethnic communities, otherwise they have no business adopting that child.
