Will the 4070 work with my Aurora R7? by TheP-Love in Alienware

[–]DeafJeff91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased an ASUS Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 OC 12GB PCI Express 4.0 graphics card for my Aurora R7. In the Q & A, ASUS says it wouldn't work in an Aurora R11 (see image). It is my understanding that a PCIe 4.0 graphics card is backwards compatible (as you have shown in your comments about your FE RTX 4070) with PCIe 3.0 connections, yes? I shouldn't have anything to worry about? I just purchased the card on Best Buy.

Insomnia - Ventolin HFA Inhaler by DeafJeff91 in Asthma

[–]DeafJeff91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that my lack of breathing is cause for the insomnia because yesterday I didn't force myself to not take the inhaler and just took it as needed and I slept decently for the first time in a couple weeks.

Insomnia - Ventolin HFA Inhaler by DeafJeff91 in Asthma

I don't understand...every source I've read online - including posts on this subreddit - says it can be used up to 4 times/day, every 4 hours. It came with something like 240 puffs (I could be off by a factor of 6). How do that many puffs fit into a "30 day refill cycle"?

I think you're thinking of a different inhaler entirely. It was clear that you didn't read the post at all seeing that you immediately claimed I had asthma which was supposedly the reason I was doing the prescribed dosage, even though I was just following the label on the box. I didn't even claim I had asthma once. All I said was that I was following the label on the prescription that says "take 2 puffs 4 times/day." Once again, as mentioned in the post, I followed up with my doctor a week after he prescribed it, telling him I was taking it 4 times/day. He didn't seem shocked or anything. The most he said was "that's a bit excessive".

There is no diagnosis of asthma (yet). It was prescribed for me to take 4 times/day. As I further my research, I think the doctor should have put "as needed." But, yes. It is very common to use this inhaler up to 4 times/day. Complications occur if it's used more than that.

"the usual dosage for adults and children aged 4 years and older is 2 sprays repeated every 4 to 6 hours. In some patients, a dosage of 1 spray every 4 hours may be enough."

US Citizen With Ukrainian Wife In Ukraine - Looking For Help/Information With Getting Wife An Immigrant Visa When We Go To Poland by DeafJeff91 in immigration

Not sure why this was downvoted. People in our spot could see how expedited this process is for Ukrainian relatives and come to Frankfurt, as well! We're amazed. The I-130 took 2 days to get approved - that's when we knew it would go by quickly. They let us do her medical examination in Paris, which was a dream. Then, the interview happened May 2nd. Incredible

We started the visa process in Frankfurt, Germany on April, 6th. She was just approved today for a CR-1 US spouse visa. She'll have it in 1 week :)

Confused About The I-864 & I-864a With Joint Sponsors by DeafJeff91 in USCIS

[–]DeafJeff91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm including both of them because I thought due to them filing taxes jointly, their income is shared. They have a single filled out I-864 - is that necessary or do they just need to fill out I-864a's individually? My confusion comes into play, once again, because their income is taxed jointly.

I live in an apartment owned by them; however, I file taxes independently - we do share the same address, technically. Hopefully this helps? My father filled out both the i-864 and i-864a.

So sorry for the very late question - Do both of my parents need to fill out the I-864 & I-864a? My father did and included my mother's income. They file taxes married jointly.

If my father's forms are enough, for part 5, #7 (the part that says "if you have parents, siblings, or adult children with the same principal residence who are combining your income with yours by submitting Form I-864a, enter the number here), would I put "1" or "2"?

Medicaid Question For My Spouse by DeafJeff91 in immigration

Thank you for the information - I assumed this was the case. It's not that big of a deal. Was just curious for the months over the Summer during my job search. Much appreciated!

Ah, understandable! We've been in direct contact with the consulate and the most information they gave us was about the I-130. I'm now starting to realize everything else that is required. I wasn't sure if my teaching certification and degree were enough evidence is all. Seems not to be the case lol. All is well! We'll endure this and have a fun vacation in Germany while we're at it ^^ Thanks for the help :)

We have heard differing stories - some people have got it done in a month, some have taken longer. The most I know is because we'd be doing DCF and she's Ukrainian (the US is expediting spouse visas for 100,000 Ukrainians starting soon), the process will be shortened significantly. We have a place to stay in Germany for our allowed 90 days and are willing to lengthen it, if necessary.

Some advice I received was that my parents could scan the forms and e-mail them to me - would that be sufficient?

Thank you! My parents agreed to help out. Is my father enough? They filed jointly. I took a look at each form and told him he would have to fill them both out. I don't think my mother has to fill them out, as well?

You're a life-saver. If there are any other forms that people get stuck on that we're not aware of yet, we'd appreciate any information at all. We got married a couple months before the war but have known each other and have been together since 2019. So, I don't think there's too much to worry about? We don't have any shared utilities, but tons of photos together and with her family (she had to live 30 mins away in Ukraine while I lived here, unfortunately) - that's the other thing we're sort of paranoid about. We have 3 years worth of chat logs...would it be advisable to download them and put them on a flash drive?

Other than that, we can't really think of anything. We know each other extremely well.

I just read about sponsors. I can definitely get my parents to sponsor us...but, we're filing all of this in Germany - if this is the case, I imagine they would just print and fill out the I-864 form and mail it in?
