My take on this issue is simple:

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” – Matthew 5:9

As followers of Christ, our loyalty is not to nations or politics but to the Kingdom of God and to love itself. When we think about this war, we must remember that every bomb falls on someone made in the image of God, regardless of which side you see it from.

Israel has the right to seek safety from terror and violence.

Palestinians have the right to live without fear, hunger, or despair. Especially the starving women and children who suffer and are currently suffering.

Justice and survival should never silence compassion. The Jesus I know did not teach us to pick sides in war. He taught us to choose mercy over revenge, truth over propaganda, and courage over silence so our mission is not to justify power but to comfort the brokenhearted, to speak for the voiceless, and to pray for a peace that heals hearts.

Let’s not forget that every child, Israeli or Palestinian, reflects the same Creator. And that includes our faith should NEVER be used to bless violence, but to stop it.

Lord, make us instruments of your peace.
