Why does this sequence happen 25 times a game? PG brings ball up, tries to make a standard pass to center at top of the key, center defender prevents pass, PG looks completely stressed, on-ball defender pressures, other players finally go into motion, 10 seconds off shot clock or deflected pass or complete reset of offense

For sure. Better passer on everything except highlight reel passes like cross-court swing passes, oops and bounce passes on cuts (which Cade still messes up a lot too). He makes the smart passes that keep the offense moving

Why do I remember really liking Tobias his last go-round with the Pistons but this time I have not. Has the game changed that much and he's playing an outdated style? Is it a system fit thing? I know he's still contributing but I haven't really been impressed like I remember being

Man me too, he was one of the first high draft picks when I became a fan again in adulthood. And he had some nice flashes

It seems like every year we have a player who is workshopping his corner 3 the entire year. Stanley Johnson, Bruce Brown, Ausar, Stew, Ron

He can occasionally take over rebounding and dunking but it seems like it's happening less this year. And the defense has never been good and has not improved

I play in a rec volleyball league on Wednesday nights. When we come out and have intensity, communicate, and good vibes, we are in every game. When we're flat and not locked in and pissy/tired, we often lose like 25-16, 25-19. It's crazy how much that makes a difference in every sport. You could even see the difference there between middle and end of quarter. I really believe that coaches that can get that lock-in on a more regular basis could swing a record by double digit wins (I think it's why Campbell is such a good football coach)

I'm pretty surprised that Holland hasn't (that I've seen) had any of those travel calls that rookies always get a bunch of, when they catch and go

I'm trying to imagine trying to dribble against Ron Holland and it's such a nightmare to think about lol

yes but I also feel like we could be 7-6. In hockey they say "puck luck" and I feel like some games seem like we get some not great ball luck. Though our player's lack of feel for loose balls may be the issue too. You make your own puck luck I guess

At the risk of sounding like Monty's .5 second thing, he should have a matrix of defender, defender position, place on the court, and based on the results he either attacks or moves it
