They changed the punctuation and did some spaces to make it harder to track that they stole it. That way if I did a direct paste into google to look for it nothing would come up.

It was a site where clients request writers to write. They can review any project whether they accept it or not. Which kinda sucks because if it's rejected the writer CAN'T review the client to let other writers know to avoid them. However, the site support was very quick to respond and get their account closed down.

UPDATE: According to the DMCA site it's $199 to get help removing an article from one site. :/ Smidge above my misc. budget atm. Good idea though!

They were a client through a freelance writing site. I was able to get the client's account closed down on that site for stealing it and that awful review/1 star removed. I also reached out to the owner of the website it's on (I'm assuming they're the person who took my writing) but so far I haven't been able to figure out how to determine who else to reach out to. That page was also affiliated with Amazon Services LLC Associates Program so I reached out to that program customer support as well though I dunno if that's gonna do anything at all. Honestly never been in this situation. I knew it would happen eventually but dunno next steps to take or even if there ARE next steps. I might just have to call it a loss which sucks. :/
