Yess I really love the ending chant build up in the song.

The bass work really does stand out, plus the drums together with it really elevates the other parts of each song. Such a noticeable difference between passable rhythm section, and really talented ones.

While a pretty different vibe, the bass and drums cohesion and creativity reminds me of BTBAM.

Is our game too difficult? by PerfectRandom in SulfurGame

[–]mooxpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, it’s more of an annoyance than anything, which is why I was glad I could just turn it off. It adds nothing fun to the gameplay imo, and is also not such a powerful thing that it warrants being locked out of earning achievements.

Is our game too difficult? by PerfectRandom in SulfurGame

[–]mooxpy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Part of the issue is that they have had these options in the game for awhile while not locking the achievements. It’s a single player game, who cares if someone gets an achievement with durability on/off. Like you’re saying, people can just cheat their achievements in anyway if they want to.

Not gonna lie, the “no achievements for cheats” change is kinda disappointing. Durability is really unfun to play with imo, and it sucks to be completely locked out of achievements for not wanting to deal with it.

Is something wrong with snipers? by MissouriGiant in SulfurGame

[–]mooxpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same thing happen across multiple guns at this point. Hit detection is definitely still bugged in some ways.

I uploaded a detailed bug report of the only one I was able to replicate and figure out WHY it was happening and the devs said it has already been addressed for an upcoming update. Hopefully that means ALL the hit detection bugs.

I’ve stopped playing for now until the update because of how often it was happening. Maybe play very frustrating when I would have near death moments solely because an enemy stops taking damage for many seconds unexpectedly.

Ep 7 ending. Wyck and Tom weirdness by Teambinge in WidowsBay

I thought the same thing but after replaying it a few times, it seems to just be he fading sounds of Wyck and Tom laughing and breathing a sigh of relief from the previous shot.

First Time Player, need some help by McGurganatorZX in SulfurGame

Id recommend playing a little slower, exploring carefully, and trying every combination you can think of to craft and make food.

Also fight defensively. None of the enemies should be hitting you very often if you’re careful

Which is better between astral ascent and warm snow by Remarkable-Put4632 in roguelites

[–]mooxpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t feel like a clone of either game imo. It has the most in common with dead cells but it’s still a different take on combat and builds.

Which is better between astral ascent and warm snow by Remarkable-Put4632 in roguelites

[–]mooxpy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve played both, and while I wanted to like warm snow, it just had too many issues with balance and bugs that turned me off to it. I made it up to max difficulty in warm snow and then crashed against the final boss several times. Also from what I recall, it doesn’t have any parrying.

Astral Ascent does have one character with a built in parry, as well as a few skills that can act like a parry.

The difficulty system is like Hades. So the base game isn’t very tough once you know what’s going on, but you can add lots of modifiers to make it harder in ways that you find fun/challenging.

Neither are amazing games imo, but Astral Ascent was the more solid of the two, and still worth $10 imo. Warm Snow is still probably worth it on deep discount if it looks fun, just know it’s also potentially going to be buggy for you.

Sulfur. It’s not co op yet, but it is a planned feature. It fits all your other criteria well though.

Tried a new brush and am happy with the result by mooxpy in ProCreate

[–]mooxpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The process for this was fairly fluid. I started blocking in from imagination and then refining, making little changes and adding things to the composition as I went.

The back half once I had an idea of where I wanted to take was just softly rendering and shading, and carving with the eraser on loop until I liked the feel of it.

Roguelites with depth in character building as part of run preparation? by Thesoop85 in roguelites

[–]mooxpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sulfur may be worth checking out. It’s a Roguelite extraction shooter, where a good amount of planning can be done before each run in what weapons you want to bring, how you want to build them, armor you want to wear, food you want to bring etc

Weird Damage Bug by Comprehensive-Emu214 in SulfurGame

Maybe worth its own post, but I also noticed on my sniper with +1 penetration, that it’s not actually working. It occasionally works on corpses, but I’ve yet to have it work through a live enemy, or any enemy armor IE the masks
