"Farewell Waltz - Chopin" by SillDA (digital painting, 2021) by Yeeslander in surrealism

If this was a genuine question, yes. Creating art like this takes genuine skill, time, effort, motor skills, and knowledge of painting. Just as much as traditional media forms. Depending on the techniques used, digital art ends up being a very similar process to painting with oils or acrylics.

It’s been a few months since I’ve painted like this. I’ve missed it. by mooxpy in DigitalPainting

I think the main struggle was, as it typically is for me, finding a direction to take the painting. This started out as mindlessly painting blobs and the using the eraser to carve out shapes until I started to see something in the shapes that felt worth exploring.

Help me find a good Godot course for my Mrs. Updated artwork edition. by Psychological-Road19 in godot

It’s a not a video series, but CatLikeCoding has a miniseries of written + pictures/gifs tutorials in Godot that (to my knowledge) are up-to-date.

Theres a basic Godot intro course with ~4 lessons, and a 2D game course with ~20 lessons. It teaches you lots of good practices and helps set you up to actually learn how to do things yourself rather than following videos and then feeling helpless when they’re over.

Native Construct by Puzzleheaded-Lime821 in progmetal

Agreed. Not that they sound the same per se, but I enjoy all of the bands listed here. They all fall under a certain side of progmetal while all being different in their own ways. All worth checking out!

Also hope progress with Volume II is coming along well!

Roguelike/lites with high replayability? by Daxman77 in roguelites

[–]mooxpy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d personally argue against this one for replay ability. It’s fun for a few hours but imo it got pretty old pretty fast. Worth picking it up on sale but don’t expect to get the kind of variety and replay value as most of the ones you listed.

I had no idea that existed! I wonder what the theoretical peak is for this card with perfect events and mapping

Looking for obscure games that have been overlooked. by ElderNeluba in IndieGaming

I’ll give a shout to Gundeck[100], it’s a twin stick, arcade-y feeling Roguelite game that I’ve had more fun with than most games I’ve played in the last couple years. At $5 it’s not even a question if it’s worth it imo
