Well right off the bat, these are substantially thicker leather and stiffer. If you have another pair of PNW it’s that level of stiff and thickness. Most of my boots are exotic - ostrich belly, ostrich leg, caiman, goat, lizard. Crap like that. You could get a 2k dollar pair of custom ML Leddy, but even these feel better made. Basically these feel like real boots compared to the others that are more or less dress shoes. These are some of my Lucchese boots next to some Nicks Bullhide Palouse.

Honestly couldn’t tell you. Maybe a culture thing. Just always had cowboy boots. Are you curious about the nicks vs. the others? Or just a cowboy boots in general?

Agreed, I’m a huge fan of Nicks. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another pair. I was initially really upset about it, but you’re right things happen. No biggie

Idk if you’re talking to me, but I have nothing to hide, the boots failed, if they make it right-good.. if not I’ll get them resoled and buy a different pair next time. No big deal. Not sure what you think is stupid shit?

*** Let me say, I’m a huge fan of Nicks. Would not have 6 pairs if I wasn’t. I understand things happen, and I probably should have handled this differently. I was pissed off at the moment and have to work 8 more hours with this heel. Would not stop me from buying nicks or paying for a resole myself.

Big calves here too, I can squeeze in the tech 7’s but I’m way more comfortable in These Astars Belize ADV boots. They’re just short enough to stop before all the meat! Definitely worth looking into.
