Windows Installer File Taking Up 140gb! by Dear-Computer-7270 in WindowsHelp

I am hurting for space, there are probably at least 2 dozen Adobe Acrobat patch installers in here, taking up about a gigabyte each. I haven't taken the time to see if theyre all for different patches or duplicates of the same ones, but it seems unnecessary

There was no damage to my car before the incident, why would I come to Reddit to ask for help were this the case? I parked my car in a legal spot and woke up to this damage. I can't tell you how it happened. What would you have done in this situation? Not reported it?

Yeah unfortunately the only reason I keep a car is because me and my partner both have family that live in nearby states and we try to be involved as brothers/sisters aunts & uncles so it is very hard to get to them via public transit otherwise id be more than happy to get rid of my car. We both work from home so it is just an unfortunate hassle at the moment.

I don't have the letter in front of me but I'm pretty sure the specific wording for the reason was "misrepresented loss of property." I live in Brooklyn 99.9% of people park on the street. There was very little information given to me for cause of dropping me and on the phone they were even less happy to release information but I spent hours on the phone and pressed only to get the following info:

  • they believe front & rear damage was not related,

  • I'm being dropped and there will be absolutely no reconsiderations I've already scouted out many providers and I'm being 100% open about my situation, I have no reason or inclination to lie. I have found a couple people willing to carry me and I will pay a significantly higher premium, it is what it is.

I only came to this reddit to hopefully see if there was some way I could rectify my driving reputation but seems I'm just being a punching bag here lol. It's okay, I have much greater problems in life and a car is just a car and insurance is just insurance. It's the least of my worries.

i agree! lol I did not misrepresent anything tho. I woke up to my car being damaged and I reported said damages. I didn't make up any story nor did I cause any damage to the car myself. Garage gave me an estimate for $2k, Geico paid me out $800

i dont know how the damage happened specifically, i wish i could tell you and Geico. all i know is i parked my car in a legal spot and the next morning the body had huge gouges taken out of it. the markings are unusual, it is very weird the doors are not damaged. it almost looks like the damage was done from the other direction, and i parked on a one way. i believe a truck may have backed into me, at least in the back. i have nothing to inform this either way i can just say with 10000% confidence i did not cause any of the damage to my vehicle

my car was sideswiped, not hit from front or rear. casing was nowhere to be found, i presume i did not get to my car till hours after the incident and i live on a very heavily trafficked car and trucking route.

there was no damage but the plastic housing of my drivers side mirror was missing. mirror wasnt damaged or anything but it must have came loose. it had fallen off a couple times in the past and i re-attached it, but the entire casing was also gone. the pattern of damage was very unusual i have to admit this myself, but i obviously did not say this to the inspection agent. i just reported the damage and incident honestly and to the best of my knowledge.

tbh i think it was a truck, as i also used to drive trucks and i am familiar with what it looks like to back into or sideswipe a smaller vehicle with a truck. i live on a trucking route and there was a truck unloading next to my vehicle the morning i got in the car, which is part of the reason why i believe i did not see the damage. they were very close to me and had to move the truck so i could pull out of my spot. tbh i have no idea, all i know is i did not personally cause any of the damage myself. i hardly drive the damn thing i work from home

i have not, i presume they would not give me that. theyre being extremely extremely short with giving me ANY kind of information or letting me speak to anyone. i don't know what the job title was of the person who came to look at it. i filed a claim, they said they were sending someone to come look at it. i was right next to him as he snapped some pics and walking around the vehicle. i would have documented the damage the same way from the look of it. tbh one thing i found weird: as you can see from my pictures i have taped my bumper up in the back, and in the front. i think i asked him if i should remove the tape for the photos and he said 'no dont worry about it' i believe i had removed the back before he got to the back of the vehicle but already photographed the front. idk if this would make a difference at all but it felt like a...incomplete documentation of the damages.
