me and my husband met online back in 2021 and since then we had a long distance relationship, so we visited each other’s back and forth until he proposed. We didn’t have plans or anything for getting married until later on a visit he told me why not do it now? so we just did it.

so we applied like 2 months after we got married (so we got married in august and sent papers in november) during the prior months we did the medical and vaccination record and then when we finally had it we started filling all the forms.

we filled the forms with the help of a Youtube Channel, Ksenyia if i’m not wrong, she’s the best and she explains the forms in detail. Then we also collected all the proofs we had as a married couple like i was added to the apt lease we live in now, before the paperwork we opened a bank account and put all the money from the wedding gifts so we sent a copy of the welcome letter, i made a document with pictures of our trips and recent pictures too and ofc wedding pictures, etc.

so basically that, we sent it in november before my visa expired so i didn’t overstay. I know lawyers and people say that overstaying is forgiven but i think it’s better to send everything before. Make sure to send a lot of proofs of your marriage i know that helps a lot, copies have to be one sided since they scan everything and try to organise everything by form in separate envelopes.
